Grafit will brake faster than fiberglass and grafit to in one like others that are fully made from grafit rods. Got a dump truck rod and others but like the cheeper stuff also. Ugly stick GX2 and the doctor runner medium power rod. Is the bestest one but have medium heavy power rod for northern pike. I've been waiting a 13 rod this year rod a reel.

I had high hopes for this reel...maybe mine is just a lemon or something. It's a cheap reel that unfortunately functions like a cheap reel. It'll get the job done, but for this price range i think the standard 4/0 or 113/114H just works better. The lever drag is noticeably difficult to get in and out of position at the mid range of what this reel is rated for. I also did not like the distribution throughout the cam. It seems loose in the bottom but then at a point slightly above Strike it's just tight & there's no nore drag even with pushing the lever further. That was only 24lbs drag too. I will say the drag is smooth at all settings. I could recommend this if you plan to stay under about 16-18lbs tops. *edit: I'm 100% saltwater with conventional reels, freshwater mileage may vary.
