Amazing video, Tommy! Quick question: I noticed pricing on the chat-dash for the customer. are these directly the costs from Retell or is there a way to adjust for profits? It doesn't really make sense to give them visibility on the backend cost of the platform.
@tommychryst2 күн бұрын
those are the direct costs from retell, however with premium versions of chatdash you are able to bill the client through chatdash and I'm assuming that is what would show up there instead if you decide to upcharge

honestly, I would just be yourself and talk to clients and make youtube videos without trying to get an english voiceover or anything. but in the meantime definitely work on your english, it's a great skill to have in business your other choice, which is a lot easier, is to just make content and target people in your native language. India might not have the same spending power as the US, but there is also a lot less competition of people making videos and selling those services

@user-pv6dy6fn6p ya man I think that's a really smart way to approach it. Create content and sell these services in countries that speak your native language. Then (once you feel the time is right) you can leverage your existing experience and audience to try and move into english speaking markets

Thank you Tommy - very helpful. How is your experience working with platform like vapi , retell etc. what would be your pick ?
@tommychryst4 күн бұрын
I like both a lot and it all comes down to personal preference. Retell is better with outbound calling in my opinion, and Retell also has a lot more native functions. Vapi has a lot more tutorials and support on KZbin and discord which might make it easier if you don't already know what you're doing. Overall both platforms can do 99% of the things you'll want to build, so I wouldn't stress about which one you use. It is also easy to switch back and forth between them for different projects

Yes it does! You just have to go to the settings right above the prompts, and change the language to your preferred language and also make sure to change your voice provider and transcriber to a multilingual variant. As I mentioned all these settings should be right above the prompt

Hi I just listen to you for the first time I'm a retired business owner I serviced restaurants chains,hotels, law firms, movie studios, NBA facilities, and the automotive industry. I would like to reinvent myself and offer some of these AI services as an AI an agency to a number of clients I've serviced in the past. What would be your suggestion as to getting started right away.
@tommychryst14 күн бұрын
I'd start with your network and see who needs help with automation. You clearly already have the business know-how to start, you just need something to sell them. Start by polling your existing network and see what solutions they would be interested in (web chatbots, voice agents, etc.). Then I would start by doing one or two free jobs, get some results and get comfortable with building and delivering the service. Then from there feel free to sell away armed with case studies and everything you learned along the way!

Can i use my own phone number is it possible bro
@tommychryst15 күн бұрын
Yes, the easiest way to use your own phone is to transfer your phone number to a service like Twilio or Vonage and then import it to Retell
@ericborgos2 күн бұрын
@@tommychryst What about having the client forward their existing number to Retell's Twilio number?
@tommychrystКүн бұрын
@@ericborgos the easiest way to do that is also to transfer the clients number over to Twilio. Twilio has a bunch of features, one of them being this make.com(ish) function builder that lets you forward calls from that number I'm sure there is also a way to do this using only make.com but the telephone modules on make give me a headache

What would u charge for this. if they have a receptionist already it would have to be less that whatever they are paying them annually surely ?
@tommychryst5 ай бұрын
definitely. It all really depends on how many functions/features they want to include. I'd say anywhere from $500/month to $5k+ a month. For example a SMB would probably not need as much support or functions so it would be on the lower end. But if you were working with a big SAAS company that gets 100s of calls an hour, you can justify the higher cost since that AI caller will need a lot more attention and complexity. A typical receptionist at a SMB makes ~3k per month. Some larger companies have entire teams that field inbound calls, which can cost 10k+ a month. Not including benefits.
@partsunknownbeatz58035 ай бұрын
How would you take that call and have make send an email or text message with a booking link?
@tommychryst5 ай бұрын
The short answer is it depends. The long answer is that you would take an sms or email node in make, and position it wherever in the flow you want the info to be sent (before the google sheet, after, etc.). You would then make the necessary connections with that node to set it up. After that, you would be able to fill out the message with whatever variables or links you want, while making sure the "To:" section is the users email or phone #. Please also note that Vapi does not naturally capture the users email, so you have to prompt the AI caller to do that. The second option you have is to use another webhook just for that purpose, and create some sort of 'booking' function within Make & Vapi that is triggered when the prospect is interested or something along those lines

Definitely man. I'm still working on a vid that incorporates Vapi Squads right now. For this use case I wanted to go with something a bit more beginner friendly. But as soon as you add some complexity to the routes and stuff I would recommend using Squads or bland instead of hard baking the routes into the prompt.
