I love it. Met him at Atlanta his last time. He was such fun to talk to we had a blast cutting up. I cherish it. He wanted to see what it felt like to be able to pass the the top ones. If it wasn't for his driving we may not have had Richard Childress and Dale Earnhardt who knows I'm sure he would have been great. Thank you Marty

He proved he was just in it for the fun of racing. I like what he told Richard Petty on another video. Petty asked couldn't he keep up. Marty said he could but he had ti stay with the 🚗

This is the first time I've heard Marty speak since I've been listening to him with Dad from the Early 1970s. I didn't know he could speak. I only thought he could sing😉😉😉

It's an interesting thing, this movie Guns of a Stranger. It's not particularly great. It's got action but it's not packed with it. The acting can be a bit wooden at times. In spite of all that it's one of my favorite movies ever. Marty Robbins had done some acting during the 60's and was not without charisma. It's his performance that makes this movie noteworthy. His kind heart and giving nature are abundantly displayed, and his unparalleled voice is displayed often. He's still my favorite country singer and his album, Gunfighter Songs and Ballads, is the best of it's kind ever made. (Apologies to my favorite cowboy, Roy Rogers.) This movie delivers in an understated manner, and it's that manner that makes it better than any blood-drenched action movie I've seen in the last few years. Thank the LORD for Marty Robbins, his wonderful voice, and his desire to entertain America in ways superior to most of the garbage Hollywood desperately tries to convince us that we want to watch.

Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs is the correct title of the album. Nearly all of Robbins Western recordings are on a Bear Family Records 4-CD-Box. With all the lyrics in an LP-size booklet.
