I was at this gig with my brother and I remember a fairly small audience and someone shouting for tracks off of Grotesque and Mark saying fuck off we are going to play only new stuff. Quite funny in retrospect

I never bought a Mark E Smith record or went to any of their gigs I guess because I was a little older yet I loved this mans music and his attitude, May his soul be resting in eternal peace in Heaven

Total sh*te ! The single most overrated person in the history of music . It’s as bad as your uncle getting up at a wedding and giving it large to Suspicious minds .. at least that would be funny and not thought of as Avante Garde and trendy . Plus Mark was a huge whopper apparently who was very hard work . 🤷♂️ 👍🏴

Awesome band. Saw them do this in 1985. Met the band after. Gave Devil Dogs to Brix and Mark E gave me a cigarette which I just put in my pocket and didn't smoke.

it is mental how you can be so original in your delivery and concept of what you have done for music but then you get told you sound the same as you did . but you are being original the whole time BY being truly you Mr Smith i get told to write happy songs but i write songs when i feel down . I'm not a entertainer i sing about what i feel by the way if you know Peter Hook or see him about or can get a message to him can you please ask him if he wants to do a version of "Dust" that i wrote when i was living in Manchester? ..i think he'd make it a classic.. I'm kicking myself as i think he was right in front of me at the pub at a Politburo gig a few years ago but i never clicked that it was him

it's nice they let the drunk guy from in the audience do the vocals for this one :) by the way i was joking.. nice to see you guys are still doing your thing and making old footage available too :)
