astounding video quality - what did you record it on?
@graysd7 жыл бұрын
FatLordMitch Thanks! Just a GoPro Hero 3 and Samsung S7 phone
@fatlordmitch31197 жыл бұрын
Video on GoPro and statics on S7? The video looks professional quality to me. I have a Mobius and a RunCam and neither are in the same league as this. Will have to consider a GoPro then :)

Hi, does your car have a LSD?
@graysd10 жыл бұрын
It does. Although some of my earlier drifting videos are from a standard Elise with no LSD and that's still pretty capable.
@PaulMadddox10 жыл бұрын
That looks like crazy slow going!

Hi Gaetano, Yes, I've tried some other types of tyre and AD08 are my preferred choice. I'd recommend the Yoko AD08 for mixed road and track use. They are good both dry and wet too. I run 195 front and 225 rear but that's the correct width for the Victory wheels I have. I think most people run 195, 225 on any S1 wheel now.
@GaetanoCrisci10 жыл бұрын
man I need some info on the Yoko AD08 pls, you are using 185 ant and 205 rear? you have tried other type of tyre on track? are AD08 good for 30% road use and 70% track use?

Great vid - really shows how tricky the conditions were! That save at 1:18 was pretty amazing, I know personally my brain is usually completely turned off at that point of the lap...

Thanks :) Yes, my own car. Days are now £119. Yup, they still do them, search for Club MSV.

Nice skills. Was this your own car and what sort of money did you pay for the day? I guess they still do this?! :)

Yup, it's a K20A engine.

K20?
@graysd12 жыл бұрын
@moonlens Yup, you were definitely quicker during other, tidier laps when the pressure was off :)
@moonlens12 жыл бұрын
That's me in the Elise SC. I can see these are not exactly the tidiest laps from me; missed quite a few apexes in my attempt to escape from you :) You were very quick indeed.

wow.. I keep re-watching the spin to see what you did wrong... but i cant tell. did you stay on the gas or hit the brakes when it came loose? i cant figure out why your counter-steering didnt save it

@dzmilner Hmm, now you're asking, that was quite some time ago! Probably: Yokohama Advan Neova road tyres.

The problem has been sorted now. It was some dodgy wiring in the loom that had been previously bodged!
@graysd15 жыл бұрын
Not sure. Seems likely to be a dodgy sensor or wiring issue. The car fixed itself a couple of hours later (naturally, after the circuit had closed!).
@HCNguyen8615 жыл бұрын
also it seems to be stuttering during at lower rpms
@HCNguyen8615 жыл бұрын
what was the problem?

It's the MSA ACU Race Circuit layout as shown on their website. This was a club organised day. I'd suggest speaking to the track directly for dates. It's sad to hear about Croft however there are still track days running there. I just think they're more restricted on the number of "noisy" days they're allowed now.
@SteveVTSftw15 жыл бұрын
what circuit layout was that? the spring or the usual race one listed on their site? Now croft is more or less a no go i have no where to go :( Also how do you find out when they have a day on? Cheers
