I will arrive terminal 1 but my friend will arrive terminal 3. Is it close? Can I just walk to terminal 3?

This airport check in and security are VERY SLOW. Today I arrived 2 hours and 20 minutes before a flight on SAS to Copenhagen (a 50 minute short flight). No staff were present when I tried to check in luggage, nor was it posted that SAS had station on other side of posted baggage area; it took nearly an hour to check in luggage due to no staff (contractors....) being present and then staff trying to help me uselessly with a problem with my luggae tag that would not scan, and then sending me to stand in line for 30 minutes. I recall previously the same issue--staff does not arrive when needed or on time and that delays waiting passengers (there are NO chairs anywhere) who then have to go stand in long security lines. After the hour to check in, it was followed by an hour in security, they pulled my backpack out for special screening of an empty water bottle! I left security with 20 minutes to get to my flight in T1. Fortunately my plane was slightly delayed and I made it on board. Staff were all pleasant and nice, including a very nice wheelchair aide who did not have to help me but really did, but I don't understand why the security is so slow, only one person at a time loading the bins. And from what I read online, there is nothing soon going to make this better.

Just visited 9 days a few weeks ago...back in USA But I am ready to ho back and visit again, I misses London...if had the money I wld go again. It's beautiful 😀👈🏾👈🏾

Yes it is; it’s just a walking distance from one arrivals to the departure gates. If you’re going to Baltimore or Boston, your are most likely to board from gate C/D so you’ll be good 👍

Hey, I have a question. How many arrival halls are there in Terminal 1 and all other terminals in general? Is there only ONE arrival hall in t1? Please reply 😊

Hiya, there’s one arrival hall at T1 but has 6 boarding areas. But of course there are several baggage collection carousels at the hall. All the other terminals also have one arrival halls. See link below for a comprehensive guide to Madrid Airport: www.aenas.es

@@quame_kbt Thanks, I wanted to ask because I'm going there soon and I'll be waiting for a music group and I want to greet them, but the problem is that I'm afraid they'll exit through a different arrivals hall. They will arrive at terminal 1, so from your answer I should understand that there is one arrivals hall in terminal 1 and there is no doubt that I will be standing at the wrong place, right? I mean, no matter where they collect their luggage, they will still leave through one exit/one arrival hall in T1, right? and this also the same to all other terminals?

This is not a metal detector, it is like X ray and it is dangerous for all. Check better all the information they hide then ask why they are hidden if is so good. First off all it is not written no where that they change to this system you find out in the moment you are there and you are not prepared for this.

I'm a bit confused by your reference to Colgan Air 3407. That flight was from Newark, NJ to Buffalo, NY. What is the relation to Dulles?

Not gonna lie but I have a medical condition and I would advise anyone who has diabetes, don't bother showing your doctor's letter to security at Gatwick but bring it just in case they ask which probably they won't. The security lad was extremely rude to me and acted like an idiot. I went to the body scanner, heard the beep, I literally moved an inch and the bloke was getting angry and agitated to me. I showed him my doctors letter and he had not a care in the world. I really didn’t understand his immature attitude. So thats just my advise, bring your doctor's letter but only if they ask it. The security in South Tenerife Airport was more respectful to me and I had no issue over their. Gatwick is a joke of an airport when it comes to security, there is absolutely no reason to stress people.

Yes sir; there’s a vending machine at the arrival hall for this. A few shops also do sell SIM cards at the arrival hall.

I got nothing out of this video. I was hoping to be able to see the signage in the terminal but the camera just wasn’t taken close enough. At the end of the video all I felt was seasick with all the constant up and down movement and the panning of the camera. FAIL!

Hello, is 1h 50' enough to transfer to another flight? considering that I must collect suitcases and check in again for the next flight. I am traveling from Vienna to Alghero, Sardinia with connection in Marco Polo airport.

Hiya, You should be fine with 1’50 mins all things being equal. As you would have to re-check in, I suppose your next flight is on a different airline. In that case, the only little challenge might be, if the flight from Vienna delays a bit. If it were the same airline on both legs of the journey, they would make provision for delays.

I’m going to Poland on Friday to visit my family on my mums side alone for the first time because I just turned 16 and I would also fly from London Luton airport with my mum anywhere when I was younger! It’s literally the best airport !😁✨
