I am interested buying an ML500 W164. But my only 'brake on my mind' is probably the fuel consumption. Can you give me some examples how much is the mpg on highway with 80mph or even 100mph ? Thanks in advance

@@Vasilios-ChrysovalantisPalios Well, it’s rates at approximately 14mpg City and 18mpg Highway. It’s not the greatest fuel mileage, but I personally wouldn’t call it excessive. It’s a heavy, powerful vehicle, so it’s gotta take some juice to move it along! This one is for sale if you’re interested. Visit our website to check it out! The link is on our channels homepage!

You can’t do much better than a W108, all things considered. Not a bad line on it anywhere, inside or out. Wonderfully comfortable and quality through and through. ‘60’s thru ‘80’s was the golden era of Mercedes, from W111 to W126. My brother and I have a small collection of these (‘69 W108 280 SE, ‘69 W111 280 SE 3.5 Coupe, ‘65 220 SE Cabriolet and ‘81 R107 380 SL) and the build quality of all of them is phenomenal. They were not hand built - tons of assembly line photos from the era prove that - but there was a lot of hand finishing and fitting. We drive all of ours regularly and they provide so much character and a pleasant change from the plastic cocoons of today. Current Mercedes are noth8ng by comparison.
@PricklyPearAC
@PricklyPearAC 16 күн бұрын
Nice collection! Agreed on most fronts, but I beg to differ on the hand built statement. All of my research shows that the W108 was in fact hand built. They were on an assembly line, yes. Of course. They had to be. But that doesn't mean they were built by machine. But like I say in the video, "who cares!?". At this point, it's all about just enjoying the vehicle! ☺

I guess there are not too many SUVs out there with 9 feet of completely unobstructed cargo room like there is with this. Also, some people actually use them to camp. Never heard of the term "topper". Only ever heard "camper". Plus, they're removable, allowing you to have sheltered cargo area that is larger than an SUV, or simply remove it and now you have a completely open bed. There are reasons to have one. That's why they have existed for decades and sell.

In my opinion the 05 looks more balanced then the previous 5, and the new 3/6/9 look nicer then the previous old fashioned white gold numbers. Beside of the mentioned changes there are a some more major and a few minor changes. This 2022 model is a complete new watch with a new movement which is much better in many ways, a new narrower bezel, new bigger dial, different hands, different lugs, a broader bracelet and a flatter case dimension. All in all much better and more contemporary than the pvevious version.

Such a beautiful Benz. Late 1960s, early 70s here in the island of Tasmania, Australia, population of approximately 500,000, a very wealthy relative bought a new MBenz 280 SEL 3.5 litre V8. Only one I ever saw here and in an usual colour combination. Exterior was beige and interior was black and white houndstooth cloth, I think probably pure wool. Such a beautiful car. Saw it in early 2000s parked in a rural street and it was still in great condition. When MB quality went South he bought Lexus instead and in 1990 or 1, a new Ferrari Testarossa. I love Rolex, but they play fast and loose with their branding of different models and their "updates". For example, the dial layout of what is now branded as the Explorer used to be the dial layout of several iterations of OP (116000, 114200). The older Air King (5500) used to look like a current model OP. And the dial layout (numerals) for the current Air King used to just be the layout for an OP (116000) concentric dial; and even in this older model the "05" was used.
