Damn this judge is extremely critical nitpicky and there's no kindness or gentleness in his voice. He needs to work on it 5

I want honest feedback from a judge. I'm paying for their opinion not for clapping and saying I'm amazing. The comments given are examples of how to get a higher score next time. Sure he's a little monotone but I'm not paying for an actor either.

Dude I’ve never done dressage I’m a jumper but a ton of my friends want me to enter a dressage show. It’s gonna be so bad but so fun lol. Hope I get an easy test.

Thank you SO much for that, very informative. I don't do dressage, but I enjoy watching it and that stage always looked so boring.

Nice to hear these comments from a judge. Conversely, here are some from a rider who is striving to train her horse classically correct: wishing that judges would stop rewarding horses with ridiculously high scores who clearly are not working over their backs but deceive by showing us their flashy movement (huge dips behind the saddle and diagonal pairs at the trot not in alignment as tell tale signs), necks sucked back into their shoulders with some showing a break at the 3rd vertebrae, and piaffe and passage pathetically hollow, legs stabbing the ground, with little or no thrust coming from behind. Please pass this on to your fellow judges.

This poor horse is running from the man's hand. the rider is a head of the horse. And the horse is hollow in the back. I could say more I won't.

And I will probably get the test recorded at the show, so if anyone wants to see it subscribe to my channel or check out my channel in two weeks.

youre right, it is correct to halt at the riders knee but at this level it doesnt really matter, and if you read the test its not really what the judge is looking for. They want a steady tempo, round circles, a balanced horse + rider with a good seat + quiet hands who uses her aids correctly. The point of this level is to build the confidence of the horse/rider, and is not usually used in competition so it is used to introduce the team to memorize a test and the sport of dressage/ a ring.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge! Can I ask a question? When you halt at X, should you halt at X with horse front feet or halt at X at rider's knee
