I think the only hope for the Saints for a starting left tackle this season, is to hope another team decides decides to cut one after preseason. Even then that player may not be a starter caliber player.

As a commanders fan as long as he's humble and does what thw coaching staff wants him to do he'll do fine, but in DC he was a little too arrogant at times, out of his gaps, free lancing and what's worse is that at training camp last year after practice he went around the kids area where my daughter was getting autographs 😮😮😮 but he signed some before practice I guess, Terry McClurin signed for the Kids staying late

Unpopular opinion but I'd trade Lattimore for an All Pro LT and move Fuaga back to RT even though he played well at LT. I appreciate the Saints for sticking with Penning even though he was drafted 2 rounds too soon as a project but he's a glaring hole on the O-line, maybe you move him to guard but he's a liability in pass protection. We have depth in the secondary and we didn't drop off last season when Lattimore was out. We can afford to trade him but we can't afford not to fix this O-line because this defense is top 10 and can win some games as long as the offense can score a few touchdowns and not turn the ball over.

Nathan Shepard had 3.5 sacks last season, shows how much Zack Ewing knows. But he would say Kaulen Saunders was a better player than Nathan Shepherd. K Saunders had 0 sacks, he was actually never in the backfield.

We were 9-8 last year with a TOP 10 Scoring Offense and a TOP 10 scoring defense. Only 4 other teams in the leauge accomplished that. So I don't think we stink. Yeah we aren't greatl.. But we dint stink.

If Chase Young lives up to his potential this defense will be better than it was last year, their better at linebacker and has more depth at corner , all of the questions will be on offense, hopefully Kubiak can scheme up things to protect Penning and whoever the left guard is , also besides Olave who at receiver can consistently get separation, hopefully the rookie receiver will come back from the hamstring injury and be a Factor and maybe AT Perry can at least bring the kind of production Michael Thomas brought last year, if all these things happen and the offensive line doesn’t have injury problems this team has a shot at the wildcard spot

3800 yards 25 TDs and 8 ints with a 97.7 QB rating is not terrible. He had a better QB rating than Patrick Mahomes last year. So he is more mediocre, not terrible.

I'm not a fan of paying big money for aging veteran especially when the depth at safety is really good already mostly on cheaper contracts. Saints have holes elsewhere that should be addressed with the money available.
