There are tech tips to NOT invert a stored pressure extinguisher to loosen the chemical. Each particulate of chemical is pressurized either by the expelant gas in the extinguisher or when the external pressure cartridge is activated putting pressure into the chemical as it is expelled.

Inverting a portable fire extinguisher can cause the chemical to block the gauge and cause an improper reading.

The hammer should freely drop from a height of 12" from the surface of the soil, not hammered down by the user as done in the video. Lift the rod up all the way inside of the hammer cylinder which is exactly 12" and then let it drop by itself to the soil.

i have a question regarding CD test. we have an ELE international device and our cell consist of the following valves from left to right. (Lower- Upper) which are bridge and lateral Upper and lower. the cell pressure sigma 3 is applied through the lateral valve. now my question is during applying the axial load for consolidated drained test do i need to have the Cell valve closed or open? meaning should i have 'Lateral valve open, Upper open, Lower open) or (Lateral valve close, Upper open, Lower open). Thank you
