@@steveholcomb4080the line is, they’re trading all I have, with all you got, but what they have we do not…the whole song was a pandemic tune, so was feeling pretty helpless, so mostly talking about the haves and the have-nots. Meaning the rich and powerful and the rest of us, or the poor and powerless, which seemed very apparent there were two different realities in that time period. So this specific line is trying to say that the people who make the decisions, the rich and powerful, are making decisions for everyone else, though it won’t affect them at all. Like they are playing with everyone else like we are just pawns and are even actively trying to turn us poors, as Tommy buns would say, against each other. They are trading all I have, with all you got, which in both cases is almost nothing and make that seem like a big deal, though they themselves are unaffected by this, not giving up anything. And it seems like what they have we will never even have a chance to get.

@@steveholcomb4080and the line before that, working and waiting lights flickered, they’re trading…that’s the preamble, meaning though we are working hard in hopes that we can find our way out of this have-not reality, i can still barely keep the lights on, so thats the I and You in the next line. The people just barely getting by.

Appreciate the kind words! As far as the lights go, felt the same in the edit, but it was a live show so the lights were more for the audience there, not for the video. I just kinda threw some phones up to try and capture it. I’m finding, from this shoot, show/stage lights don’t make great video lighting. If I was being more critical, I would say I do too many camera changes also probably, but it’s all a learning experience. Just guessing and checking. I’m by no means a professional videographer or editor. Ha. Or sound/studio engineer for that matter. It’s all just DIY madness. Thanks for watching!

I am always trying to get better at all things music. You might enjoy some of these tunes more if that’s more your vibe. Appreciate your kindness! Mainly Amaj and dmaj(maj7th). There’s an F#min replaces the Amaj for the pre chorus also if just doing a strummed version. The ending has a couple weird chords, goes Amaj, like a Bmin7 add11 maybe, Dadd9, back to the weird Bmin7 add11 (the notes for that chord in order from low to high go B, F#, A, C#, E, A)…now I use a capo to play it and that makes the main chords Emaj and Amaj shapes and the other chords the accordingly. The whole first part is a picked melody outlining these chords.
