Yeah, I've been having trouble getting my settings right. I can't exactly hear the balance. It's mostly guesswork and I don't know how it comes out until I get home and view the videos. @@adamheartmother It's not as bad as it looks ... mostly because I'm not really "busking" (ASKING for money). I just don't like playing in private and this type of thing is welcomed here, so I am quite comfortable with it all. If I was in it for the money, I would play to the drunken party-ers during the night-time. The people you see who are ignoring me just passed numerous other buskers, and/or have their agenda to get to. I am thankful for the acknowledgement I get between songs; while packing up; on videos that don't get published; etc. My biggest thrill is when I get someone's attention across the street and STOP THEM IN THEIR TRACKS! LOL So all in all, it's not as bad as it looks. Thank you again for your very kind and thoughtful words!!! ❤

@@jamesewanchook2276 Actually, the idea is to keep OUT of the way so as not to be a nuisance and attract the wrath of the local authorities. Any tips are certainly appreciated, but I'm really not there for the $. It's just that I'm simply not inspired to play in private ... so I try to get at least an hour of practice on the street once a week if I can. Most of the time, I get a pretty good amount of appreciative attention that is not captured in the videos (from across the street; just behind the camera; between songs; etc.) so it works out fine for me. Thanks for the suggestion anyway! I dig where you're coming from.

Actually, this is a great spot. However, it was not a good time as far as pedestrian activity and such goes. It was about a million degrees outside. I went anyway for the practice and experience. Learn some blues songs. They are easier. Not as many chords, you don't have to be a great singer and they don't care how old you are. Get a gig in a bar playing for tips so your inside on a bad weather day and you will have a music career!

Most people have their (party) agenda that they are anxious to get to. Also, there are SO MANY street musicians on The Avenue that it is easy to ignore some. I frequently get some people watching from across the street and just off camera, but they only approach me between songs. Your observation is correct, but not as bad as it appears.
