when I reassembled my Kershaw Gravel knife there is now a tiny bit of up and down play on the blade when fully opened and locked. The same exact thing happened when I reassembled my Kershaw Cryo knife. Everything works fine. Except now there is a tiny gap where the frame lock butts up to the back of the blade. Has this happened to anyone? This problem was not present before I disassembled the knife

this frost cutlery knife is a legal copy of the 1970s barry wood trifold knives... the frost is called the little mustang and there aren't that many jim frost got permission to make a small number of these in the early 80s, the barry wood trifold is worth about 600 bucks depending on condition the frost around 60 bucks in perfect condition but the prices are going up slowly

Well this video brought me back, I carry that exact same model and I have been for 20 years now since it was issued to me in Iraq in 2004. Sadly but proudly I abused it religiously and it has never failed me it went back to Benchmade one time after 14 years for the spring breaking.

I would only suggest that, if you intend on a neck carry for either knife, you take time to find the proper kind of wood for making "feather" sticks. If you are not new to carving feather sticks, you could hit the woods in search of any type of needled evergreen tree, pine, spruce, or cedar wood, which is dead or blown down, and harvest enough "fatwood" or "fat lighter" as it is sometimes referred, to make some feather sticks. You can find this "fatwood" in any area of a resinous evergreen which has sustained damage in a crotch area from a broken limb, or any area which has been lightning struck or damaged by someone using an axe for whatever purpose and it will be very darkly colored by the honey colored pitch which has accumulated in the vicinity of the injury. Stumps are also a good source of fatwood and are easy to harvest with a sharp axe applied to the top of the stump to break chunks of the fatwood apart from the stump. I have harvested a 5 yr. supply of fatwood from some clearcut forest areas from one or 2 stumps of pine.

That's definitely an old model the butterfly on it is old and the shape of it and I've never seen one with that type of button so that's definitely one of the first ones! I had an AFOII in my first collection that was the Toronto style that was about 12:14 years ago and it was like the one I bought three or four years ago and neither one of them are like the ones you had mine have jumping around the swell like you mentioned. So I guess they really have improved it from the original. I like it I think it's a good knife.
@DadsKnives5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the confirmation. Yeah, it looks like the AFO II is much improved over this one.
