This movie is complete BS. Poland is defending herself from Around 90% of these so called “refugees” are single Muslim military aged fighting men. These Muslims men are being pushed into Europe by Russian soldiers to inflict chaos in the EU. This film is made by Putin supporters.

@@RyMovieGuy You did a great job. I kind of had no choice. Im a construction worker. That year, I was working on a reflection pool (very large low water fountain where the people on the other side look like they're walking on the water) at the Christian Science Church in Boston. There is absolutely no cover/shade from the sun. So we all just worked with our backs towards it. But most of us were watching it with our phones. It wasn't very long, but it did get us out of the 100f+ sun for a bit. It was like working in a desert 🏜️. Thanks for sharing your video. It looks great

It is interesting that the Nasubi story became a film. I had been watching the TV "show Susunu Denpa Shonen" in 1998 every week here in Japan.

Not all movies must have a hollywood ending, you two have a very american mind it seems
@RyMovieGuy
@RyMovieGuy 7 ай бұрын
True, it’s definitely stereotypical of Americans to want a complete ending, but in this case it just made us question what the film was saying. A film can have a loose narrative or even leave the story open-ended, and yet what matters is if the characters change over time. It didn’t seem like anyone changed here…

I was looking for any review from foreingners talking about this movie, mostly because I wondered if it had the same effect as It does on people who are from Recife (as I do). It is an emotional piece of film for us and it's great to see How universal it actually is.
@RyMovieGuy

It’s worth a watch for anyone who appreciates cinema, but in particular the theater experience! I actually got to meet the director, who was so kind and articulate. The film manages to feel so specific and personal to his upbringing, but I also feel as if there’s a universality to what he talks about.

@@orkako No. It has been all hand-painted. The movie is the cinematographic adaptation of the the 1924 Nobel Prize-winning epic novel by Władysław S. Reymont. Creating "The Peasants" was an incredibly demanding, laborious and long process for the filmmakers. It took five years in all. It resulted in a stunning and amazing visual masterpiece. Each scene was painted by over 100 painters from Poland, Serbia, Lithuania and Ukraine. Together, they created more than 42,000 oil paintings. These paintings were used to create each frame of the film. In this magnificent movie, you can also see the amazing beauty of the famous artworks of J. Chelmonski, Julian Falat, Wyczolkowski, Ruszczyc. All of them influential Polish artists of the period. Music in "The Peasants" requires a special attention, I will only mention it includes some of the Polish folk songs, folk and national dances… Watching this beautiful move is/was an extraordinary experience. Truly magnificent, wonderful, deeply touching. Poland has such a beautiful culture.
