STOP REWRITING HISTORY! Drake attacked Kendrick’s wife and made horrible claims about him being an abuser on “Push Ups”. Drake went personal first. Kendrick warned him TWICE not to go there and don’t attack his family. And Drake did what? Attacked his family on “Family Matters.” So, Kendrick gave it back to him on Meet the Grahams and Not Like U.S. And Drake also goaded Kendrick to talk about him liking young girls on “Taylor Made”. Please do not change the narrative. That’s what happened. And if anyone has cause to sue, it’s Whitney (Kendrick’s wife) and his partner Dave Free! It’s infuriating that no one seems to care at all about how the women and children are affected here. Let’s be honest, first: Drake went down this rabbit hole when he attacked and degraded Kendrick’s partner, Whitney, on “Push Ups”. This attack was unprovoked, just as he attacked Pusha T’s wife. Drake has a very long history of attacking the wives and girlfriends of his foes. He has a long history of misogyny and no one seems to care about this. So again, on “Taylor Made,” Drake baits Kendrick by daring him to rap about him liking young girls in an inappropriate way. Let me be clear here: DRAKE STARTED THIS ENTIRE THING!! If anyone has cause to sue for defamation, it is Whitney and Kendrick’s long time partner, Dave Free! So, Kendrick responds on “Euphoria,” essentially warning Drake not to get personal, not to attack his family. And again, on “6:16 in LA,” Kendrick, again, warns Drake not to get personal and attack his family. But, what did Drake do? He releases “Family Matters,” where he attacks Kendrick’s family, degrading and disrespecting Whitney and accusing Kendrick of DV and his friend of betrayal. So, when Kendrick drops “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us,” these songs are in direct response to Drake attacking Kendrick and his family. But for some reason, Drake is being characterized as a victim while Kendrick is the big, bad villain who went too hard on Drake and took things too far. Remember the history of rap beefs: far worse was said about other rappers; it’s not even close. For example, Nas destroyed Jay-Z with very horrible words about him. Biggie and Tupac destroyed each other with terrible accusations about character. But for some reason, Drake is too big to fail and now the narrative is being rewritten. Drake has been an Industry Baby since Day 1. He always had a huge social media presence that was backed by the industry. Drake dominates on the charts by dropping seemingly thousands of songs so that he remains #1 on the streams no matter the quality of his music. There were billboards all over the major cities like New York and Atlanta with Drake’s face plastered all over them before and during this beef. I can’t open up Apple Music or even KZbin without seeing Drake recommendations, and I don’t listen to Drake; I can’t stand his voice or his music. But that’s not the narrative. Now the narrative is reversed: it’s Kendrick who is the Industry Baby and who only won because of Drake and because the industry helped him. It is ridiculous!!
