My favorite album from Paul Gilbert Sensei is Vibrato, I really love the strong Jazz influence that album has and how he adapted Jazz into his signature playing on top of that you got Emi with a master class on how it's done.

Great ideas, looks fun! May I ask, does the scatting over playing help with learning to sing and play in unison in general (seems like it would)? Always I've struggled with breaking the link between my hands and voice, especially with rhythmic pieces. Thanks.

Thank you! Yes I think it would be helpful to start with scatting because you don't have to worry about the lyrics. First you can choose a simple combination of consonant + vowel (something like "La La La,") so you can concentrate on the melody line. I hope this helps!
