This sounds delightful! I agree that most cats wouldn’t adjust in three days though. We adopted one 9 years ago and she is still skittish. 😊😸

Or we add books when we see them - on Social Media or via Newsletters we have signed up to (and the TripFiction community on FB and the usual platforms alert us and we can then add to the database - www.tripfiction.com) We always have an eye out for book with a strong sense of place

I have not heard of this novel before but it certainly sounds like my kind of story. I have been to Cape Cod many times and even stayed in Sandwich once and it still remains one of my favorite places. I will definitely be adding this book to my wishlist!

This book was frightening. Really liked it, but nevertheless was frightened by it. Listened on Audible too, found myself unable to stop it. Always have assumed Stephen Fry was thinking of Vivian Stanshall when he was writing the character called Babe.

Kamala Markandaya is starting to be recognised as a very strong author writing about India - she was well known in the 1960s/70s so is getting a new generation of readers now
