This sounds delightful! I agree that most cats wouldn’t adjust in three days though. We adopted one 9 years ago and she is still skittish. 😊😸

I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting Venice but I am a fan of Tracy Chevalier’s work. Glass blowing seems a fascinating subject so yet another of your recommendations is added to my list.

Oh, how lovely of you to say. Well, publishers/authors will flag novels that are strong on location. Or we add books when we see them - on Social Media or via Newsletters we have signed up to (and the TripFiction community on FB and the usual platforms alert us and we can then add to the database - www.tripfiction.com) We always have an eye out for book with a strong sense of place

It is a very novel concept, really well through through (maybe a tad long and a few too many characters to keep hold of but a good book nevertheless)

This book was frightening. Really liked it, but nevertheless was frightened by it. Listened on Audible too, found myself unable to stop it. Always have assumed Stephen Fry was thinking of Vivian Stanshall when he was writing the character called Babe.
