I’m truly convinced that HHH took the ultimate revenge for being the fall guy after the curtain call in MSG. People forget HHH got dumped on big time and had to eat MAJOR shit for the better part of a year and a half after that incident. Losing his KOTR spot to SCSA, being a straight jobber night in and night out. Aligning himself with HBK who was the #1 guy when he came back and formed DX, being able to stay in Vince’s ear through his friendship with HBK, Starting a relationship with the bosses daughter, later on having creative input in writing to ultimately becoming one of the top executives in the company. I feel like that singular moment of getting crapped on just ultimately made him want to get to the very top.

I came back to watch this video for the memories of the NWO WWE/WWF storyline. A lot of people wonder why the NWO did not work in the WWE/WWF. Here is the truth about why it failed and you can look it up yourself. Scott Hall was not supposed to drink beer, at all, while he was doing the NWO storyline. He broke his promise and Vince McMahon had no choice but to fire him. We all know that the NWO is not complete without Scott Hall because he is one of the backbones of the faction. If Scott would of stayed away from the beer, the NWO storyline would of been a huge success. We would of saw DX vs NWO and that would of been huge. Hollywood Hogan had to go back to Hulk Hogan and then the NWO faded away, like the wind. The NWO could of been the first faction to own all of the WWE/WWF titles, that would of been nice to see.

I remember this and as a fan of the original nWo I sure wanted this to work...but Nash was injury prone as hell, Hall was in one of the darkest places of his life at this point (I would love to know whose bright idea it was to have Austin taunt Hall with beer and pour it all over him), and Vince couldn't resist reliving Hulkamania one more time and within a month Hollywood was gone and Hogan started dressing like his bologna had a first name again. After the invasion fiasco I had to know it was doomed but for a brief moment I believed....

I was at this show in Milwaukee. It was my first pay per view WWF event. The old promo is awesome too. NWO was the single most bad ass group back then after DX. Oh the memories!
