Really would like a bloodhound and to do scent work training get us both out in the fresh air, we have a fairly big house, decent garden and live a few mins from 2 big parks with woods to walk in, there’s nearly always someone in the house, the only thing I’m wondering about is the howling and slobber? Are they very excessive? Them seem a lovely dog.

My hound is very quiet. Only bays when they test the storm sirens. The slobber is real but it’s not excessive. The challenge is he needs space. We have a large yard and I walk him every day to help him burn energy. The notion that the movies have created that bloodhounds only lay on the porch and sleep all day is false. 😂

Memories of me being a goalie of a milk crate and my brother slapshoting the puck straight unto my nose and pleading my mom that im fine with blood gooshing out of my nose saying it was an accident. It was an accident. One of the most fondest memory with my brother.

I have a eight month old as soon as she hit that backyard. She would’ve followed my scent and had that bone less than 30 seconds. he’s got a good nose though. If you work with him, if you do this daily work on some command words, they love it learn new things, makes them happy when they understand what you want.
