Very good tutorial! I learned a lot! The mis-steps were actually a positive because they showed a more real-world experience that most of us are familiar with anyway! Three steps forward and two steps back as they say! Thanks for the video!!

I never comment ..but your channel name was so on point lol ..luv it! I dont have mpc 2 will do you think the akai force will work rhe same? Thinking about add D12 to my setup because i need a new mk anyway. How do you you like you D12?

Thank you for leaving a comment! First, I'm glad you like my channel name. Second, I have heard good things about the AKAI Force, but haven't used it myself. I do know that AKAI has been giving the Force some of the functions of the MPC through firmware updates. And I think they will be adding some of the Force functions to the MPC line. But I don't know what, when or if they will. But I just have a feeling that will keep integratiing their whole line of products through firmware updates. I love the MPC 2.0. However, because they have been adding more RAM 4 gigs, instead of 2 gigs to the AKAI Key 61 and other new products. My advice would be, if you don't need one right away, wait a little while longer. As I think they will be releasing some new updated gear with 4 gigs of memory. Or if you have the space for it. I think the MPC Key 61 with 4 gigs of RAM and all of the extra included instruments is a good way to go. Because you would otherwise, have to buy them separately. Some people think, maybe AKAI will put out a smaller MPC Keyboard, but we don't know when or if they ever will. I would watch some videos about the Force and MPC and see which one fits your own method of working best. For me so far, I like the MPC work flow a lot! But haven't tried the Force, so I can't compare. About your mic question, do you mean the AkG D12? AKG makes sone decent mics, but I don't have that one so I couldn't say. I do have a RODE mic, the K2 for vocals that I love. But mics, really depend on what you need them for. Ir's like shoes, certain mics will be a better fit for you and not for others. Good luck with that. If you do get a new AKAI MPC or Force, please let me know how you like it. Thanks.

I jus subscribed.😊.I use controller mode. So could I still use the go pro mixer for getting quality sounding beats on social media platforms? And could you do a video on the connection for controller mode?.. thank u
@synthsei
@synthsei 10 ай бұрын
First, thank you for subscribing it really helps and I appreciate it! Roland GO:MIXER PRO-X Audio Mixer for Smartphones | Connect and Mix up to 7 Audio Sources. Is this the mixer you are asking about? I hadn't heard about it yet, until you mentioned it. I haven't tried it, so I couldn't say for sure. It does seem to have a small size footprint and fairly low price (around $150, I think) and I do like many Roland products. But I would need to know more about it to recommend it. Thare tons of mixers out there right now. You need to figure out your individual needs. budget and size. For example how many inputs do you need and of what type. I have a friend that is looking at the TASCAM MODEL 12 mixer for his small garage studio. It fits his needs and his budget, the number of inputs he requires and he likes the vintage look of it. Plus, it will act as a computer interface for his MacBook. Good luck with your mixer search. There are so many it's hard to cover all the areas. There some good mixer reviews out on KZbin so check a few of them out before you buy. Controller mode for the AKAI MPC. I think that is a good idea for a future video.

After re-naming it the folder disappeared along with the projects. Is there any way I can locate the mentioned folder and projects? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

It's not HARD to believe that he's gone at such a young age. His passing isn't shocking at all. It's both saddening and angering. I lost over half my body weight - no surgery, no outside help. No fad diets. I was eating too much and not moving enough. I started moving more and eating less. I'm 5' 4", I weighed 270.5 lbs with a 48" waist. I now weigh 133 lbs with a 28" waist and I've kept it off 2 years now. It CAN be done. I saw this man live in concert more times than I honestly remember, and I had memories of great conversations with him. He called me, "Michael, they guy with the rockin' beard and the nice hats." I told him that "I've been called worse by FAR worse!"😁😁 The reason I saw him LIVE as many times as I possibly could: Simply because I knew there would be a time when I COULDN'T. And he was 5 years younger than myself. Take CARE of yourselves. It's unfair and selfish of you for the people around you for you NOT to do so. RIP, Joey - you Hammond B3 virtuoso. Love ya dearly - and I'm still mad at ya! Trust me - I'm a retired nurse and I KNOW from where I speak by experience: I have a husband, that, if he's still alive Jan 4, 2023, we will have been married 20 years. He's 5' 7" and over 300 lbs. (My waist is 7 inches smaller than his THIGHS!!) He goes to work very early in the morning. Every single day I get up in the morning, I look out my bedroom window to see if his car is still parked in his parking space. If it ever IS, I know he's dead on the sofa. UNFORTUNATELY, I live every single day with sweaty palms - by the seat of my pants: Because I know that there are NO heavy people for a VERY good reason. I live every single day as if it is HIS last, and, at any minute, my life **will** drastically change. (I have a keyboard musical instrument collection, including 3 Hammond B3, each with her own Leslie 122, a vintage 1979 Rhodes 88 Suitcase piano that had only TWO hours of play time on her when I bought her a 5 years ago, and many more. If / WHEN he's gone, and that day will be SOONER than later, I'll have to sell my ENTIRE music studio and move into an efficiency apartment - simply because he doesn't give a sh#t about himself - or us. Trust me when I tell you that it's **MADDENING**!! I've played keys for 48 years. I'll have to give it all up because of HIS selfishness. Not a good felling to wake up to every single morning of my life.

I updated mine and have the Flow Capture button. Two questions. The metronome on the left bottom doesn't seem to do anything when I try to record. Second, when I save my file after Flow Capturing, it only creates a .wav file. I remember him saying (I think) that it creates a wav file for dropping in your DAW, a MIDI file that has just the note info, and a third file that sets all Spectrasonics parameters you had set when you recorded (multis, combis, programs, effects, etc.). All I'm getting is a wav file and I tried the Omnisphere settings and didn't see any options for Flow Control. Thanks in advance!

I’m a composer and jazz pianist. I decided to take Joey D’s organ lessons online. I went through all of them and got to a decent proficiency level playing the B3 with his course. Then he died. I felt like I knew him through his online lessons. A great loss. Too young to die. Age 51. I hoped to meet him one day, but now I will have to wait. RIP Joey D. You influenced many and spoke music.

@@edunabie My comment does not mention that he died from his weight but it could have been a contributing factor, but every close friend I’ve know who was Joeys size all died before they were sixty, it’s a well known fact that a waist size over 40 inches is a pathway to heart disease ! Look, if you’re offended by the fact that I dared to mention his weight when nobody else seems not to have noticed it then you really need to wake up to the enormous risks of what being overweight can bring. I’m sorry but I say things as I see it, and if you’re offended then you’re part of the problem not the solution ! so just sit down and try and think of a health issue that can kill a young man suddenly that is not related to obesity !

* REMBERING DAVE SMITH * 1950-2022 - He died age of 72 Father of MIDI - SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS - 1st Soft Synth I just heard the news as I uploaded this video. And a day before the NAMM Show 2022. You will be truly missed Dave! It's been a tough couple of weeks in the Synth World. Losing VANGELIS, Andrew Fletcher (Depeche Mode) and now Dave Smith. I was just thinking how each of them have impacted my life and my love of synthesizers and synth music. Bladerunner CS-80, Depeche Mode, and Father of MIDI, just to name a few. I would love to hear your thoughts about any of their lives and the impact it's had on you.
