If you ever do a bleach bath again, it’s equal parts of everything, including water so it’d be 1:1:1:1. No conditioner Sincerely, A color nerd.

True and if you use 20 volume and dilute it with shampoo it’s no longer 20 volume, try to just bleach it and tone it to the color you want

When doing a shampoo bleach you start with the end and work your way to the roots because the heat from your hair will process your roots way faster and give you hot roots

Oh & use coconut oil (just reg coconut oil found in the grocery store) & apply this ALL OVER your hair 2 hrs b4 bleaching... Itll save you SO MUCH damage. I wish i knew abt this. Also, take a qrtr sized amnt (or more) & use it on your ends everyday & once a week just drench your hair in it and sleep with it in with a shower cap. Itll do wonders and is an awesome home mask
@jamiearmstrong21735 жыл бұрын
Ashley Quintana I guess if you want to dilute the bleach snd not get as good of a result. Sure
@xtracreamxtrasugar41345 жыл бұрын
@@jamiearmstrong2173 Actually Jamie, "Even if you’re hitting the salon, you still might want to consider prepping with coconut oil. That’s right, you heard me! Hair blogs rave about using coconut oil to protect your hair from the harsh bleach that can strip hair of its healthy bounce. An hour before the bleach, rub the coconut oil for added protection. You can thank us later." Straight from a salon owner. but sure spread your opinions that you have no knowledge of & encourage the girl to fry her hair. Why not? 🙄😒
@jamiearmstrong21735 жыл бұрын
Ashley Quintana There’s a big difference between a hair mask and just diluting bleach. That’s right you heard me! Professional hair dressers wash your hair before bleaching for a reason! The cleaner the hair the better the bleach can penetrate your hair strands. When the bleach can penetrate the hair strands better the lower the developer is needed and is less damaging to the hair! A hair mask could be helpful. moisture is always good for hair so using coconut oil for hours and then washing before bleach or dye would help retain some moisture. Or an oil mask after would also be helpful. But always keep in mind anyone can make a blog about hair just like anyone can tell you how coconut oil is the perfect solution to everything and anything. and licensed professionals have to take courses and tests. As professionals ALWAYS wash clients hair before bleaching or dying specifically for the reason that the cleaner the hair the better the bleach or dye works on your hair, the lower developer you need resulting in less damage. (Higher developer = more damage) But hey coconut oil is super trendy right now. Works for everything. Try putting it on your homework for better grades too! I think I saw a blog about that. And in the end your hair is extremely uneven and still black in most places so I guess all those hair blogs taught you something right? Proper research, knowledge and training >>> blogs anyone can write, youtubers getting advice from blogs, super trendy trends 😉
@jamiearmstrong21735 жыл бұрын
Not sure if I trust anyone with the title “I ruined my hair again” because you certainly didn’t do anything good to your hair. Not sure if any of your advice is valid at this point. Beauty school isn’t that expensive, blogs are free to post and read though 😂 Nothing can protect your hair from the damage of bleach. Anything you put in your hair or the bleach dilutes the bleach. If the bleach is diluted you’ll need a higher developer which is more damaging than a lower developer OR a second round of Processing which is also more damaging than one round. Even when hair dressers add olaplex (the only salon and professional approved treatment in reducing ((not protecting)) damage DURING processing) they have to use a higher developer because it dilutes the bleach which is why some decide to use olaplex and some don’t. And that comes from a cosmetology degree in hair and not from a blog that anyone can post and read for free Remember; you’ve honestly never seen an actual licensed cosmetologist mix coconut oil in your hair or in the bleach prior to bleaching and they do not carry coconut oil in the salon and they always always wash clients hair before processing’s for a reason and not just because a blog said to do so.
