By untested I know you mean from stiff competition like ranked opponents. He has been training MMA under 3 years I think, has 5 Pro wins all in the first round and hasn't really used his wrestling which he is master level at. I definitely think he can fight ranked after a couple more because his experience is so low.

Just to correct ya on one small detail-- The ufc almost never has a fight officially signed by both parties by the time they announce it. If there was a fight agreed verbally, the ufc tend to make it known immediately. But i think theres an opponent for umar but they are just waiting to see what date itll be on & what the main event for the card is. They like to announce the main event for a card before they announce the other fights. Umar is fighting in saudi.. & if i was a betting man, i definitely could see dom cruz figjting umar. Dom is actually a tough matchup simply because cruz has superb wrestling; & dom knows even tho umar is 13, he knows steppping up to fight against the guy nobody else will fight & winning . In essentially umars home court, would put him next to fight for the #1 contender spot.. cruz regardless of what people say, still has it. Hes the most frustrating guy to fight, especially for a kid with low experience. In a 3 round fight, id definitely put my money on cruz by decision. Even though we all know if it came to decision them judges in saudi will probably give it to the crowd favorite. Unless the ufc brings in neutral sided judges from various countrys when they go to saudi. Some places internationally the commission will hand pick judges from all over to fight off any possibility of bias.. But some countrys, the ufc or commission are forced to use the citys appointed officials (kind of like a defendant in a court trial, who has no choice but to take a court appointed lawyer.. leaving him basically no chance to win ) Basically saying,, if cruz doesn't win 2 rounds emphatically hes losing simply off the fact umar wil get the hometown discount

I don't know what is going on now. The announcement was for March 2nd per Ali, not for Saudi. Saudi has been postponed per Dana. Now I have heard rumors Umar's fight is off. There are still no fights listed on the March 2 card.
