Thank you Sara: I enjoyed watching your video. I ordered an 8' roll of packing tape from Amazon. I did not realize you could use two strips of packing tape, regular width, and overlap. I am excited to try my first project.

How do you glue sayings onto circle? 10:48
@SaraNaumann2919 ай бұрын
Hello! For intricate dies like these, I recommend using a dry adhesive like Sticky Specks. These are micro-dots of adhesive that come on sheets. You lightly press your die-cut onto the sheet of dots, then lift up and you're ready to add the piece to your surface. These are available at Paper Wishes. Hope that helps!

Thank you for sharing. I have two collections from the Couture line..the gift of Christmas and stylish Christmas collections. Both sets came with no instructions. Do you know where I can find instructions or tutorials for these die sets. Thank you
@SaraNaumann291 Жыл бұрын
Hi Virginia, oh boy... I'm sorry to say that I haven't worked with either one of those collections, so I don't have first-hand experience. Here are two options you could try: First, enter "Couture" as a search term on Pinterest... I can see there are a LOT of project ideas, so that might be one place to find cards using the two sets you have. (www.pinterest.com/cnyscrapper/couture-collection-dies/) The second is the Couture group on Facebook. Again, enter that name ("Couture Dies Crafting") into the Facebook search box. This is a private group, but you can send a request to join. It's been a long time since it was updated, since the dies are a bit older, but there are project examples and maybe you'll connect with someone who has an idea of how to use the collections you have. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, hopefully this can lead to some ideas for you.

@SaraNaumann291 Жыл бұрын
Hi Margaret! Are you using regular packing tape (like the kind you get at a hardware store or even grocery store)? That's the kind I use. Also, very often there's not enough "stick" left on the tape, in which case you can add some adhesive in the areas that are darker on your photo. You can also use brads or other paper fasteners for a mixed-media style. Hope that helps! :)

Good afternoon Sara, I did multiple tentative with various stamps but even being very gentle, I keep removing the alcohol ink! In order to fix the problem, I decided to let the alcohol ink dry longer but it is still not working. Perhaps I should use more solid stamps and not some with too many lacy details… your thoughts/tips? I love the technique and hope to be able to master it! Thanks! Lorraine
@SaraNaumann291 Жыл бұрын
Hi Lorraine! :) It definitely is a technique that you have to practice with. Even in this video, I accidentally removed some of the alcohol ink! One thing I can emphasize is that when you're starting to remove the black ink, be sure to ONLY blot with your rag-just straight down, then up again to remove most of the ink. Then a bit more, the next go-round. And always keep close to the image. You're right in that bolder images are easier to contend with, since there are fewer delicate areas... I imagine a bold silhouette stamp of a pear or apple would be a good one. Hope this helps and never fear, you'll get this-but it for sure takes practice! :)

Hi Julia, I am sorry to say I don't think I can help you! My labeller is different from the one you have-I had a look at another YT video and it seems yours has a "style" button in the center of the panel. That would be my first option to try to change the font color. I would play around with the one I used in my video but it seems to have gone missing. If it doesn't tell you in the instructions, you might look on the Brother website: www.brother-usa.com/home/label-printers/makers#sort=relevancy Sorry I can't be more of a help and I hope you're able to find the answer!

I found a 6” wide packing tape on Amazon. So what you are doing is making a customized sticker? Amazing that the inks transfer to the packing tape! Thank you for an easy to watch video with clear explanations
@SaraNaumann2913 жыл бұрын
Hi Roberta, yes it is a bit like making a sticker... only the tape won't be quite so sticky after the water and handling. That's why I suggest you use additional methods of securing it down. THere will be some stickiness, though. :) So glad you found some tape and enjoy your crafting!

Such good ideas. Since the video did not show completion of the last idea, can we assume you were using the negative part of the chipboard shapes as a stencil? I do love products that can be used in more than one way.

Hi Jean, thanks for pointing that out. Unfortunately it looks like the end was cut off. You can see the complete video at the Paper Wishes site. (www.paperwishes.com/webisodes/?page=high&id=1062) But in answer to your question-no, I was making a lighter mix of Polish to color a piece of chipboard. However, you could definitely use the negative space as a stencil!

HI, Not sure if you printed from an inkjet printer or from a LASER (toner) printer. I’d like to apply onto wood, and Lazertran.com tells you to apply a heavy amount of pure turpentine, Well, no matter how much I apply to wood, the lazertran curls and will not stick! Any thoughts?
