Thank you very much for this splendid video, Aaron! Many decades ago I hiked from Kvikkjokk to Abisko, and later been ski-hiking from Abisko Southwards. Your video is the most beautiful one I've seen about hiking along Kungsleden. Especially the drone sections are breath-takingly wonderful. You got a new subscriber from Finland 😊 P.S. Been once to your amazing country, unfortunately for a far too short time, and only to the North Island.

Thank you Paul! I would love to ski the Kungsleden one day.

How many times did you have to go back and get the camera? This is very impressive work Aaron, absolutely, simply, breathtaking. There is a creator, without him nothing was made. It can be rather nice walking in the rain, just you and the elements of nature, the wind on your face and so on, it has its challenges, in the end, that's what makes it worthwhile. You know that feeling, when you just got to breath it all in, soak in that moment, that kind of thing. When I was young like yourself Aaron I too could just walk for hours on end, it would drive me nuts if I couldn't go on a daily walk somewhere. It's great to see you really enjoying and living life to the full, it's times like these that can give one that sense of fulfillment. Again, simply breathtaking, way to go Aaron 😎

Hello Aaron. You asked me a few days ago for details re too much contrast in your video. I found that at 6.17 - 6.20 mins & 9.28 - 9.38 mins. there is high contrast. At 22.06-22.14 it was perfect. Other parts appeared to have high contrast. I looked at my settings but I do have a problem adjusting contrast. It may be my screen? Cheers, Pete.

Magnificent photography, Aaron. Thank you. On my screen, some parts appear to have too much contrast with very dark shade. Do you care to comment? Ol' Pete

Hiking 450km on the Lycian Way sounds like an incredible adventure! 🏞 The mix of stunning landscapes, ancient ruins, and charming towns must have made this a truly unforgettable experience. I can imagine those steep inclines and rocky trails were tough, but it sounds like it was worth every step. Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad

It is beautiful and magical. As a swede living much more south I still feel ties to this area as much of my family stems from north Sweden. I walked part of Kungsleden ( aka pensionärsleden) together with sn uncle, aunt and two younger cousins when I was 14. Must have been summer but I remember it being pretty cold and raining part of the trail. Foggy and rainy once we got closer to Kebnekaise. Remember starting from close to Kiruna, taking a boat across a lake, not sure which one now. Loved it!

An excellent video, thank you. I walked Fetihye to Olympus/Cirali last September and am planning on going back for part 2 this year. Your lovely footage has brought it back and given me itchy feet! Lovely to see how green it is in spring time with the flowers and blossom. Also the water springs are flowing whereas they were mostly dry in September. Thanks again 🙏

Really enjoyed the video Aaron. Great video quality - you skills as a photographer are obvious! It must have taken you ages to do all the editing too. Impressed by the sequences where you walk towards or away from the camera and of course had to return to retrieve it. That must have added substantially to your mileage! Quite a change in character from your NZ tramps, which I often use as inspiration for my own tramps when I'm in NZ.

Thanks for the video great way to capture this amazing hike and beautiful country. I have to say Demre was my hardest section of the hike, mainly due to water shortage, as I did the hike in May….

Thanks for amazing video! How is the dog situation on the trail? I am afraid of dogs and saw that the pepper spray is illegal in Turkey.
@AaronRossPhoto2 ай бұрын
My pleasure! It’s not great. There are many dogs that you pass by while on the trail. A lot of them bark, however I found that most of them stopped barking when I got within 5 metres or so of them - but you can never be too sure. I had two encounters with guard dogs (guarding goats/property) where I had to stand my ground and calmly walk through while maintaining distance. I would suggest walking with another person if you can. Either way, please don’t let the barking dogs stop you from experiencing this amazing trail!

This is really informative, thanks. All the walking through water screems blisters to me, but apparently not?
@AaronRossPhoto2 ай бұрын
Thanks, glad I could help. It can, but I didn’t have a big problem with blisters as I wore great moisture-wicking socks from DarnTough, have comfortable, lightweight moisture-wicking trail runners (Altra Timps or nowadays I use Hoka Speedgoats) which I think reduced the chances of getting blisters greatly. For extra precaution I also had moleskin tape to wrap on my ankles/toes.

Hi Aaron, how did you go with hoka speedgoat? Were they waterpoof enough
@AaronRossPhoto3 ай бұрын
Hey, the Speedgoats aren’t really water proof, more so ‘water-resistant’, but they do dry fast if you get them wet. I like them for all hikes!
