Hello, how do you (you or other people seeing my comments) know when there are enough stitches so the thickness is the same everywhere ? :o
@cassiemdias15 күн бұрын
@@byaku7550 Hi! I just try to evenly disperse the amount of stitches and only layer until the base fabric isn’t visible anymore. I also try not to overlap too much in one spot. If I’m not sure if I’ve added enough in a particular spot, I hold my work up in front of my window and see if I can see any light peeking through…if there is, I’ll add a couple more stitches. Hope this helps!

That is absolutely beautiful. May I just ask: Did you come from an artistic background? Did you already know how to draw and paint realism before?
@cassiemdiasАй бұрын
@@mgenst234 Thank you! And sort of…I’ve always loved creating art ever since I was a kid, and took a couple art classes in junior high where I did painting and collage, then I did ceramics in high school. I never really studied realism in depth during my schooling, but had always been inspired by artists who could paint like that! Many of my embroidery pieces are inspired by, or are recreations of old, antique oil paintings by plein air artists. And in studying their techniques and practicing a lot, I’ve come to learn a thing or two. ☺️
