You should get a proper video setup and do tutorials. You're much better than most on youtube and would be a huge help to the community. Could even monetise it and sell some courses. I'm just starting my instrumentation journey and struggling due to my school putting in the bare minimum at best. Only work, no instructions

Thanks for your tutorial. The remote programmer does not have batteries in it and the electronics are potted so it appears that I will need a new programmer as it cannot have the battery changed.

Thank you for this great explanation of your system I don't think most solar installation companies are even aware this is a possible set up. This is exactly what I am planning to do here in Ontario.

12:18 Is there any way to zero the leads on the meter itself?
@byronvanalstine
@byronvanalstine 4 ай бұрын
As long as you are using 3 or 4 wire, it's doesn't matter as long a the resistance in the leads are equal.
@cchriss_official
@cchriss_official 4 ай бұрын
@@byronvanalstineif you watch the part I time stamped he was saying if you want a more accurate reading you could take away the exact resistance of the leads too. I was just wondering if you can zero the leads and the extra cable easily with the meter rather than measure it and deduct it manually

I thought that mA can only be measured over the test terminals without breaking the loop. Is it possible to measure in this case since the Fluke is also supplying loop power?
@byronvanalstine
@byronvanalstine Жыл бұрын
In this calibration I was measurement measuring with loop power. you could use another meter to measure the test terminal, but that would be redundant.

@byronvanalstine

although I was only producing 13.2kw at the time, that is because that was all I was using. 3.2kw to the house and 10kw to the grid. I have 36 480w solar panels. fronius 15kw inverter. fronius smart meter can-240v.

Very well executed. (CaL tech here) you nailed this! Excellent explanations and delivery to further understand these types of sensors/transmitters thanks so much!! my only recommendation is to use a holder around your next for your camera so your both hands are free for more excellent teaching!!! haha cheers and thanks so much!! (volume was also pretty low but putting volume all the way up solves that :D) Thanks again!!
