Wht size is your fox t-shirt if you don't mind me asking? I rode bikes all my teen days always on them after getting the license yeah same when things went pete tong! Im same hight and weight now as yourself i just boght an ebike but the EMTB full suspension pedle assist only for the trails as used to race Downhill etc and well just the types of bikes i rode but so different now! I got the ebike version because think ill struggle to begin with and don't want to put the strain on my heart im 37 aswell now but bad hearts run in the family so need to do something now as lifes getting on and at that peak whare i can still do something its a carbon frame on 170mm full suspension but still a heavy bugger of a thing with the battery so expecting to put in a good work out to start on it! I don't believe in a throttle ebike never get one them but yeah the pedal assist i can turn on if needed if struggling but hopefully i can get back to it pretty easy it has been a good 20 years atleast

So how do you keep people from stealing those sucker with or without a bike on it?
@mtbtomfoolery
@mtbtomfoolery Жыл бұрын
You don't, they are not designed to be a permanent rack so you remove them when not it use. It takes about 10 seconds to remove it all and stash it in your vehicle. If you leave it unattended with your bike on it you are asking for trouble no matter what rack you have. That is not a risk I would take with any roof rack setup.
@mracer8
@mracer8 Жыл бұрын
Forget about the bike which I take it in daily of course, but does that mean you should/have to mount/dismount the sucker rack daily if you live in apartment/park outdoor because while it will take forever to steal my old Thule roof rack with lock, it seem it might be a 5 second job to release the suction and take the whole rack without the need for any tool? is there some kind of thief proof thing for the system? thx @@mtbtomfoolery
@mtbtomfoolery
@mtbtomfoolery Жыл бұрын
Effectively each part can be removed by simply peeling the suction pad off. I mean if someome really wanted to nick it they would have no problem, but they would have to know what it was in the first place, and know how to remove it. I would say the chances of them being nicked are slim but that depends where you leave it I guess as with anything worth nicking! Plenty of people have bikes nicked as they are expensive and easy to pedal away on. Have you ever heard of anyone having their roof rack stolen?
