Thanks for the video. It made me laugh when I saw the weather. I live in Perpignan in France and the weather is the complete opposite. Thanks again!!!

Thank you very good video and a great help. I have a Turner Expander 500 wanting to connect to my President McKinley and this wiring is exactly same for my 6 pin plug so going to do what you did and remove the pins not being used very safe way of doing things. Well done good job!

Just to answer my own question. With a straight Turner Plus Three microphone the red wire is not necessary and left disconnected. The rest of the wiring is exactly like this video and pushing the three extra pins out is definitely the way to go. The Plus Three is an amazing mic with this radio too. Thanks for the good vid and the great idea's. I so appreciate it!!

Fabulous Video. Nicely done and in focus. Thanks for the wonderful information and the warning and "fix" for the pin of death. Going to be wiring a deskmike this afternoon. Love to find an old "Plus 3". It was the mic to have 40 years ago too. Thank you for the information!

Wow that's taking a beating off the wind ! , I think the scaffold pole is helping it with the flex , if the scaffold pole didn't flex I think it would of broke. ,glad it stayed up for you

An idea: if you use Pin6, and install a 9V Regulator inside the Turner, you wouldn't need a Battery.

I'd disconnect pin 6 from the inside. I personally found the 500 mic not nearly as good as the +3 versions
