So cool!! I want a star wars ,razor crest ship wrap for my ford transit but the art work has not been up to my expectations... loved the texture on this. I would love to see how you would do one... love your attention to detail.

Wow, you've got great taste! It's funny you mention the Razor Crest because I’m actually in the middle of a super fun project where we’re turning a Cybertruck into a UFO, and we're drawing inspiration from that iconic ship! Can you believe it?! 😄 This video is from 5 years ago, and I've honed my skills significantly since then. Thanks so much for your kind words and for taking the time to watch my video 🥰

Just noticed you were working in photoshop and in RGB! I thought it would have been in CMYK. With detailed artwork, can this be imported into illustrator with 600dpi?
@curvaceouswraps90278 ай бұрын
Hi Aran, Great observation! The choice between RGB and CMYK really hinges on the specifics of your printing setup. In our case, we're working with printers that specialize in vinyl and are designed to produce exceptionally vibrant colors, making RGB the preferred mode. These printers are well-equipped to handle the RGB spectrum effectively. Regarding importing artwork into Illustrator at 600dpi, while it's technically possible, it's worth considering the purpose behind it. Illustrator shines when handling vector graphics, which are typically resolution-independent. Photoshop, as its name suggests, is more suited for raster image editing. That's why dpi becomes more relevant there. For large format printing like wall graphics, billboards, or car wraps, a lower dpi like 72-125 is usually sufficient due to the viewing distance and the scale of the graphics. In essence, the smaller the physical size of the print, the higher the dpi you'd want. With larger prints, you can afford to go lower on the dpi. I hope this helps!

@@curvaceouswraps9027 thanking you for your valued guidance. 1. So for me, it comes down to what is the output & quality of printer which will need to be discussed at forefront of any project. 2. I create a lot of comic style detailed poster art pieces using Procreate and or photoshop which would inherently be rasterised at 300dpi. I am worried about losing the quality of detail when scaled up to 'car' size. 3. This has all been ALL very helpful ... thank you

Wow, thank you so much for your sweet comment! You have no idea how much it means to me. Losing my Dad has been really tough, and I'm still figuring out how to navigate life without him. But comments like yours make me feel loved and supported, even on the hardest days. I'm working on getting better, one day at a time, and knowing that there are people out there who care makes all the difference. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness and encouragement. You're awesome! <3
