1) All the allegations of torture by Pragya Singh Thakur over Hemant Karkare and the then ATS Maharashtra Investigation team were debunked by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) not once but thrice, i.e in 2011, 2015 and 2016 , the later two times, when in all the concerned places i.e. Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and centre, the political party to which she is affiliated was in power. NHRC gave clean cheat to Hemant Karkare led Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad on torture allegations. 2) It is also very much relevant to mention here that the NHRC report states that, "The allegations were not substantiated by facts or evidences collected by the enquiry commission from the prison, courts, and the hospital where she was admitted." 3) Also if her allegation about the illegal detention of 13 days is to be considered, the Bombay High court observation of 2010 very clearly states that, "Not once were her movements restricted neither was she confined to the ATS office after interrogation." 4) If her allegations about the thrashing of her teacher and also the allegations of her student, Bheem Parischa being forced to thrash her while in custody are concerned, the Supreme Court noted that, "She was produced before the Nashik chief judicial magistrate on two occasions , 24 October 2008 and 3 November 2008, but she didn't mention of any such incidents then." 5) Moreover, the apex court's division bench of Justices JM Panchal and HL Gokhale stated that Pragya was examined by Doctors at two different hospitals but no injury marks were found. These allegations have been rubbished at multiple forums like Supreme Court, Bombay High Court and NHRC Comission multiple times. So I am very sorry to say , these allegations somehow do not corroborate the facts found during the investigation.
