Hallo, alles sehr gut erklärt, habe wahrscheinlich bei der Einstellung etwas übersehen. Kommunikation mit Sender funktioniert, die Knüppelbewegung im Servomonitor funktioniert, aber an den Servos kommt kein Signal an. Vielen Dank, B. Guhlmann

I used the 64bit versions just fine - although apparently there are some limitations to the 64 bit version of Blackbox Tools in the release notes but the blackbox decode works just fine.

Danke für die Step by Step Anleitung! Ich wusste gar nicht dass man so Akrobatisch mit dem Drift fliegen kann. Wenn es hinhaut will ich das gleiche mit dem ZOHD Altus auch machen. Soll ich lieber ganze Roll und ganze Pitch Drehungen vermeiden? Ich fliege tatsächlich nur mit einem 4s4500er liion und der Autolaunch geht um einiges leichter als in deinem Schnipsel aus der Facebook Gruppe. Ich hab heute auf jeden Fall diese ZOHD Escs kalibriert und festgestellt dass echt der eine früher Gas gegeben hat und auch länger gebraucht hat runterzukommen bei 0 Throttle vielleicht behebt das ja schon mein Yaw ZappelProblem.

Das wurde mit INAV 6.0 gelöst mit G-Force compensation. Also alle versionen ab 6.0 haben das problem nicht mehr solange du ein GPS verwendest. Ohne GPS wird es weiterhin passieren das ist unausweichlich.

Thank you for this video! Is it possible to simply connect my radiometer boxed directly to the pc running this software to make a ground station? In other words the telemetry is already there via the transmitter - can I use that data stream as input to this platform?

ich glaube das Video braucht ein Update. Oder ich bin zu Doof ich bekomme das mit der aktuellen EdgeTX FW auf der RMTX16S MKII nicht hin. Ich habe es mit der Yaapu Version 1.0 Versucht. Dan ist der Bildschirm einfach Schwarz. Bei der Yaapu Version 2.0 gibt es den Ordner Yaapu und Maps unter Scripts nicht. Unter 2.0 habe ich alle anzeigen aber NO Map Data. Die 100x100 dateien. habe ich unter Wiget in den Ordner Maps gezogen auch unter Image gab es ein Ordner und habe die dateien auch dahin verschoben. Als das nicht funktionierte habe ich nochmal alles runtergeworfen und 1.0 installiert und 2.0 drübergezogen. Der Ordner unter Scripts war dann vorhanden aber immer noch NO MAP Data. Zoomstufe und GPS empfang habe ich berücksichtigt sowie die auswahl der Map.

Hello, that looks like a great project. I have a question I see that your both propellers are ccw. As for 2 motor configurations shouldn't it be one cv and another ccw doesn't it make it less efficient?

it makes no difference on a twin motor like this. Might be different on other models, I am not sure. I try to keep the (possible) reason short as far as I understand it. The Air behind the props is moving backwards in a spiral. That means on props out (top side away from the body) the outer portion of the wing gets propwash from above, creating no lift, while the inner portion of the wing gets prop wash from below creating some extra lift. On the other side its the opposite. As the prop wash creates lift over the wing further out on one side and further in on the other side in this config, there is more leverage on the inward spinning prop. this differential propwash lift cancels out the torque of the motors. So far my theory. I tested this on the bench. With no props on at all, the motor bell inertia alone causes a significant roll rocking of the airframe when throttling up indeed. But as soon as I put the props on, there is no noticeable roll torque present anymore, despite that the props SHOULD cause a lot of torque roll. I was planning on having different spin directions but the CW props had been out of stock back then. So I gave it a shot and it works just fine. Different airframes could behave different. Your mileage may vary.

Great video, very helpful, I'm still working out a few bugs implementing the A8 into my multi rotor, I mostly fly fpv freestyle quadcopters for recreation, and have a DJI Mavic 1 and Mavic 2 Enterprise Thermal for my side business and search n rescue team I volunteer with. I recently got a good deal on a DJI F550 hextacopter, that I want to make into a lighting rig for search n rescue ops. It's my first multirotor with more than 4 props, so it's been a learning experience, the A8 was a perfect price and fit, because it's purpose will be lighting more than photography, but with everything on the F550 being in the DJI ecosystem it was a little bit of a challenge getting the A8 to work, and I'm still ironing out a few things. What I did is use the DIY cable for the ethernet connecter that's next to the HDMI out, and just used the AV out pin to an analog 800mW fpv transmitter (there's actually a DJI OSD module between the A8 and video tx, for my telemetry), and powered the video tx from a 5v pad on the drone. I'm using an older Radiolink AT9 radio with a R9DS rx for my control link, but only had 3 aux channels that were already being used for gear/arming and two for gain control. But then I discovered that the older Radiolink radios connect to multiple receivers at the same time quite easily, and the actual radio still had 4 aux/servo channels available, when I was flying the F550. So I just got another R9DS rx, connected it to the A8 via the included S-Bus Y cable, and mapped pitch axis, zoom, single photo, and start/stop recording to the free channels/servos on the radio, and I was in business. I'm having issues with the photo and recording, not always working, but I'm getting close to figuring it out. They must have fixed the pitch control you were talking about, because I have it on a slider, and depending on how I set my end points and sub-trim on the radio, I can set how fast and far the camera travels in each direction, and I set the midpoint on a switch to be able to center it quickly. Anyway sorry for the long comment, just thought I'd throw it out there in case anyone else was struggling with non SIYI, Mavlink or Adrupilot hardware, thanks again for the video, it gave me some good insight on a couple decisions I need to make, take care, happy flying!!

Thanks for an interesting well put together video. Another twist to this is to use a radio transmitter on a tray with neck strap. The neck strap greatly helps with throws as my radio transmitter is always securely against my left hand through the whole motion. I always throw my planes with my right arm and my left hand on the throttle stick for smooth engagement of the throttle after launch. It feels awkward without my radio tray.

Hi ! the download links wont work anymore. Also after installing it wont start via icon in W11. I can force start it via Terminal with this dumb --really-really-start-as-root switch Also it has graphics issues. It all gets mangled. I installed the icon pack

Hallo Marc, ich habe ebenfalls einen Hee Wing Ranger T1 mit INAV 7 installiert. Mein Problem! Mit INAV 6.1 starteten die beiden Motoren schön gleichmässig. Mit INAV 7 starten die Motoren zeitlich versetzt und ungleichmässig obwohl an der Hardware nichts geändert wurde. Kann man das irgendwo einstellen in INAV 7? Gruss Didi

Marc, I finally fixed the flickering OSD on these boards. I take the power directly from the battery and bypass the power rail on the board. It works fantastic now!

Hallo Marc Ich mir ein Speedbee 405Wing gegönnt, deine Erklärungen sind echt gut (was ich auch befolgt habe), aber leider stimmt die nicht mehr so mit dem I-Nav 7.0 überein, was mich zum stolpern gebracht hat, sprich ich kann die Switches in der Option Mode nicht einstellen aber die Verbindung mit dem Empfänger (TBS Nano RX) besteht, was könnte das sein hättest du noch eine Idee?
