Do you think something like this is possible but with a table saw swinging out?

That's great! They're smaller than the lag bolts I was looking at so you certainly reassured me, thank you very much. It's taken a few days to find some videos without those crazy expensive tree mounting bolts people are using

Just one question. The point of putting a steel bar with an aluminium sleeve was to prevent wear and warping of an alternative simple hole which would be drilled straight through the wood. Wouldn't the same apply with the lockibg pins, who's holes are drilled straight through the wood? It seems like the same problem will arise over time.

I like that you've included the mistakes. Something a lot of videos edit out and it makes no sense because there are always mistakes and corrections when doing something for the first time. Good video.

Why did you attack the floor to the tree? Why not leave the tree braces unattached and on rails so the trees can move?

Just finished up the same tree house for my three boys. They are enjoying it and it looks great. Love the style tree house and thank you for giving us a run down on the build. Wish I can post it in the comments but unfortunately it won’t let me. Now to add a slide and a zip line! Thanks again.

Interesting video.. hopefully, you have graduated to cordless drivers over that corded Hitachi... I wouldn't use the peg for a lock. I think throw bolts on the outer edge would be easier to manipulate while working. I do like how you showed the mistakes in the video, it shows your human... LOL Overall good job.

Well done so what kind of bolt did you use for attaching the lag to the support board? It sure wasn't the TAB( tree attachment bolt)

Bad idea anchoring base boards directly to the tree.. should hook them up with brackets that allow it to move as the trees move in the wind

By now I bet you have changed the way you lock the flip top to something you can do without squatting underneath. Maybe a bolt lock in the front. Otherwise, nice.

This is far from safe. The house is too heavy for that small screws. You did not take into consideration that the trees are growing and will destroy your flimsy base in a few years. The house looks great.

But if you use bigger screws and trees that have already grown a lot will it possibly be safer?
