Thanks for this reminder! I've used Socratic Questioning before to get me through tough emotions-I used to call it the 5 Why's thinking I'd come up with it myself lol-but it's always nice to be reminded of the tools available to help me push through. Bonus: I started working on client work after watching this video!

My fear always is that i am going to be tired all day, so what i have started to do from the last 2 days is sleeping at 10pm or early and then i automatically wake up at around 5 am, and when the first wakeup hits, like the time when you say 5 more minutes, i just get off the bed, though i feel tired at that time, when an hour or so passes, i start to feel normal and get myself to do something. It is much better than waking up at 8:30 or 9 am after sleeping at 12 in the night, it sort of gives a structure to the day. Let's see how long can i do this and when it becomes a habit. Enjoyed your vid!!! Keep it up!!

great vid as always, i just have 1 q. how do you stay consistent?
@HarryMontford-10 күн бұрын
Hey bro, here's a couple of things I regularly do to stay consistent: 1. Have a habit tracker always close to you - the more we get reminded of the tasks we need to do, the more likely we will do them. 2. develop a ritual/routine around the thing you're trying to do, I've found I always do certain habits at certain times, and it's super easy to do because I've gotten used to the routine (for example, I always read after I've finished my deep work) If you think the work is too difficult on some days, maybe consider doing less to start with and progressively overloading the time you do it for once you get used to it everyday. Btw I DM'd you on Discord :)

These videos are starting to sound a bit contradictory? I’ve watched them all and it feels like each time you are sharing new approaches (which is great) but commenting that your focus or productivity was poor before you did this, but that can’t be right as that contradicts the comments and claims in your previous videos. As a helpful suggestion I would recommend spending a bit of time considering your video coherence and how you are and will present systems and progress over time. Thanks.

@eastcoast4233 There are lots of things that have worked for me, so I split it into different videos. If I just put everything into 1 video, it would be boring and 20 hours long. I'm also always learning and trying different things. For example, a lot of the stuff in this video is taken from the book Hyperfocus, which I was reading. After I read that book, I applied it to my life and developed new points people can learn from. Some were more effective than other points I previously mentioned. Obviously, I don't know everything, but everything I say has worked for me in some way. I know a lot of people watch these videos and blindly follow the advice, but remember to choose what you want and discard what you dislike :)

@@HarryMontford- fair does, but I’m not sure that currently comes off clearly if you know what I mean. Beware using images from books as you have done in this video, as very likely to be copyright content and as your can make funds from your video the fair usage of others work doesn’t apply.

Hey! correct me if I'm wrong (I might have understood your question incorrectly) There's a few productivity books I really recommend: Hyperfocus by Chris Bailey The 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris Undistractable by Nir Eyal Slow productivity by Cal Newport Discipline is destiny by Ryan Holiday Hope that helps!

0:35 watch out for those insets obscuring any main video content, in this case the bottom line of text. 11:37 there is a spelling mistake there for contingencies - meant kindly, I do recommend putting any text through spell checker as part of your process. I’m not sure mental environment is the best description of what you are referring to - mindset? No one factor determines your action, they are all influences - everything is based on your genetics and consequentially your biological drives, current mindset and emotional state, physical state eg in pain - intoxicated - fatigued, previous experiences and learning (which in turn influences values, beliefs and behaviours). It’s never just one thing that’s why we get individual differences where two people have the same experience but react so differently.
