it wants to tip over on turns because the tail wheel is fixed and provides no steering, the rudder wants to swing the tail but the wheel is fighting it and so physics decide that the plane will tip instead, make the tail wheel steer and it will stop tipping! i have just got one of these as a trainer and ive thought about converting it to a tail dragger myself as the other plane i own , a 74" Cessna L-19 bird dog is a tail dragger and i bought this 182 just to learn so i can fly my big plane, normally its a backwards step converting tri gear to tail dragger as tri gear is far more stable on the ground, particularly on landing but in my case is makes sense to learn on the configuration that my goal plane is set up as.

What gears are ypu using

Hey....I have the same boat. Great roll. Couple of questions.......how much do you weigh and how tall as you? I am 5"11 and 163 lbs. I find the the boat is a bit slow on the setup but I am sure its just me and my inexperience.........

I just bought this plane in the combo off Tower Hobbies. What setup do you have in this plane? Did you add the external BEC? What battery you running?

guess i dont know what you mean by rtr. to me rtr stands for ready to run which both versions of the mini revo are. there is a brushless rtr and a brushed rtr. i know for a fact that the brushless version will run on 2 batteries. i do not have the brushed version so i do not know what that one uses

no servo. the wheel is fixed. it is just a 1" foam wheel on a piece of music wire glued to a piece of thin plywood and glued to the fuselage

hi i have the same plane and had the same problems as you did (Check my video if u want). Can you please tell me more about your "tail dragger" mod. Where is the tail wheel servo located? What kind of system you used for a Tail wheel etc...

I am using the plush 60. The motor is only good for up to like 55 amps so i didn't see the need for an 80 amp esc. Plus the 80 was out of stock when i placed my order. I have not gotten around to trying to set up soft start, but it sure does need it. I will post my results here when I try it. I have had good luck with all my other turnegy esc's so i am hopeful.

I would just go with the vxl. I have been very happy with mine

I think the only difference is the motor and esc so I would assume that the chassis is the same there is a battery box on each side of the chassis

do you know if the none vxl one will hold 2 batteries?

that is the 1/16 e-revo VXL. it comes rtr with one 6 cell battery it will hold 2 if you want

Thanks. I've had this plane with a eflight 32 and lost it in the ocean due to a bec failure. My speed controler was not rated for a 4 cell lipo. I have a turnigy 4250-700 Ive never used and was thinking of trying it the next time I set this plane up. I only flew it once on four cells and cant wait to do it again. For a small plane I havnt found one yet that compares.
