The steam train is a preserved one, No. 186, on a railway enthusiasts' special in 1972.

So sad that this and other wonderful narrow gauge lines could not have been saved.

Cost a fortune and millions in insurance. It would never turn a profit. The cost of nostalgia never worth it either.

They need to reopen it to stop Traffic Jams, Road Deaths, Pollution & Car Accidents.

i played around dingle station in early sixties it was used to store props for ryans daughter many happy memories for me not for others leaving never to see home again
