The first was just fantastic. This one is a total pile of garbage only to be used to wipe your butt with. I can't believe phoenix agreed to make this awful thing. I wouldn't even give it 1 out of 10.

I loved LOVED this movie. I ugly cried at the ending and found myself incredibly connected to the 3 main characters, which were Bettany, Hanks, and Wright. The whole thing about the beauty of life and being thankful for what we have HERE.

The part that furstrated and angered me the most, was no consequences for the guards in the film. You can argue that they deserved to die much more than Murray . These guys were horrific in their treatment of not only Arthur, but the other poor immates. I was waiting and waiting for Brendan Gleeson's character to get karma, but there was nothing. In fact his lastsceen his him walking merrily through the corridor winking at Arthur.

Boring, slow, pointless.....nothing happens. It's a one page script dragged out for 2 hours.

Andy, great review!! Everyone has the choice to change. Change is hard!! Change is difficult!! Change involves work and working towards something takes effort, diligence, time, and patience. Many people choose to stay stagnant, they’re either too lazy or don’t feel as though they have the time or energy to put forth. Many people are okay with who they are, even if they do hurt others. Choosing to change is possible, it can be done, and people do accomplish it. We must choose to learn, grow, and heal from past events and trauma. 💝 We need to stop stigmatizing ab**e, it happens. It should not be a taboo subject. I’m glad it’s being portrayed and discussed, it’s an extremely important topic.

Thanks for the review! Radio host Michael Medved gave it 3-1/2 stars and a glowing review (he was also a fan of Zemickis’ earlier work, including BTTF and Forrest Gump). So your positive take surprised me considering how negative even average Joes on KZbin where being on this. I’ve been curious if this is even worth my time!

Awesome take, and it’s so great to hear that you liked it! Seems like critics these days would rather bag on a movie than be moved by it. Perhaps the issue is that the very message of this film goes against their mission? 😂

@ The movie was wonderful. I loved all of the couples portrayed over time. I won’t include spoilers about actresses I didn’t expect to see which was delightful. Family life is messy in good ways and bad ways. The movie is insightful in this way. I appreciated the very clever transitions as time periods changed and I loved that it was non-linear. I’m so glad I saw your review first.
