I mean - I think it should be reminded analyzing as an object is fine but you should keep in mind objects are made of atoms with atomic weights and so force per atom can be same assuming same atomic composition its just 10x the number of atoms or whatever in heavier 'object'. So force doesn't adjust you just have a heap of more atoms in heavier 'object' so whole vector when you f=ma is xf=xma but per atom f doesn't seem to vary if same elemental compositions btwn objects (varies logically if different atomic weights bc different material compositions)

Thank you! I was kinda confused by the concept, i knew it worked but I didnt really get it. Now i see the difference, 10m/s would just be constant while 10m/s/s is acceleration

I belive your theory about the plane not flying is incorrect. Aircraft do not transfer power to the wheels for take off. Aircraft engine power is applied against the air around and behind it. Since the air is not affected by the treadmill and the aircraft wheels free spin, the treadmill would not be able to keep the aircraft from taking off.

Thank you for the equation. I makes so much sense to see it as meters to the second power meaning a force applied per meter every meter.

There is no difference between 1st Theory and 4th. But the 2. theory and 3th are the real reasons.

If we substitute the variables respectively according to the video, then E = rest mass which is zero multiplied by the energy due to the momentum. We know that any number multiplied by zero is zero. The equation eventually comes to E =0 so how does this work?!

@ 1:25 Suppose we applied one Netwon of accelerating force to the bow of an aircraft carrier, and over the course of 10 years (or whatever the calculated time required) we moved ship 1 meter away from the dock. Are you saying that, over the course of that 10 years we will have expended only one Joule of energy? i.e. how much does the grocery cart weigh, or is that irrelevant?

In a circuit physically electrons flow from High concentration of electrons to low concentration of electrons so, the reason why electrons have negative charge.
@TheConglomo

Using positive and negative for charges was a misnomer from the start. If they must be used however, electrons should have been considered the positive charge as the definition of positive suggests something active, such as mobile electrical energy (versus the immobile proton charge). What a failure of accurate scientific categorization that only serves to confuse. Thanks Ben Franklin... Also the slightly pretentious tone of op is annoying. Just get to the point next time, thanks.

Question: Upon searching on the internet, I have found that electrons are discovered AFTER the conventional current flow was defined to be from positive to negative (in other words, the flow of positive charges). Since we now discover that electrons (containing negative charges) are the ones that are mobile, why do we assign a negative charge to electrons instead of a positive charge? Correct me if I have any misconceptions. I hope that you will reply to this. Thanks.
@Badzilla
@Badzilla 2 ай бұрын
That's correct. It is still used 'backwards' due to convenience only. Since it doesn't make a difference. It is easier to stick to the original definition even after the discovery. Many books and resources have been built with that. So if it doesn't make a difference, we don't need to change it. All physics needs to be practically sound more than it needs to be absolutely true. All physics is a 'model' describing reality accurately enough
