There are woke feminists who say that this character is "offensive" to the Ainu people because she looks like a shojo manga girl. It is insane how they are trying to demonize all beautiful things. By that logic then all of the "Samurai Shodown" characters should be considered "offensive" because no one is realistic. But they have two "power words" playing in their favour, you know: "indigenous" and "woman". It is insanity at it best but it is pervasive nowadays. We, people who are being attacked for liking these things without no legitimate reason, need to fight back. Whatever those fools say, I got interested in the Ainu culture because of this character and I have read multiple books about them. If that is also "offensive" to the woke crew I don't know, but to me it is very positive.

She is not Japanese. She is an Ainu. The fun fact is that in history Ainu warriors women seem to have existed. I doubt they were like her, though. Probably they were not cute, and they looked a bit like men 😄. But as an ideal she is cool. Specially in these feminist times many girls should learn from that archetype.
