OMG! Her voice is horrible. This is MUCH better in the "Camp" version, which actually gives it meaning. I never imagined this version would be so aweful.

God, to think she thought she wasn't good enough to sing this? My favourite PS track. Sexy and emotive. Shame the band were so fucked up on drugs at this time, Denise included.

Found the throughline For all humankind If given the time They'll blow up or walk on the moon It's just what they do For personal gain On Thanksgiving Day I joined the parade I stood at the top of the float And threw out a rose Watched a blast from the past Indigenous dance Started to laugh And then I just started to cry This world is waving goodbye So cut a rug let's throw a party Birthday cards for everyone Swallow hard and say you're sorry Just admit what you have done I studied your work Like architecture Cathedral of words The meaning's not easy to tell Comes back around on itself Admirers, your biographer The odometer There's no way to turn back the clock It's gonna to run 'til it stops So excited to play Turned up all the way Electric, ecstatic, psychotic Jumped into the drums Was pandemonium So if it's time, let's go together I will be your ballast now Let's sail into that stormy weather No matter how it turns out I just want to stand by your side When everyone calls you a lie I'll be your shield There's still some truth worth defending Let's stroll to the edge of the cliff Stop here and give me a kiss Now we're walking on air There's no hell beneath our feet If it every occurred Just once in the world A love as absurd As ours I would scream what we lost From the mountaintop

Emptiness, emptiness how do I search for you Empty everything and strip the walls Make them colorless, invisible Stop all thought, I am not losing now I can't feel anything, I can't see you Chorus: Try and make me go away tonight, try and make yourself pretend I wanted it, I needed it, for the longest time Try and make yourself pretend, you can't go on tonight I wanted it, I needed it for the longest time Chorus: I don't want to do this anymore, I don't want to hear your voice I wanted it, I needed it, for the longest time You don't even have to want, you don't even have to care I wanted it, I needed it For the longest time

Jesus Christ, girl What are people gonna think When I show up to one of several funerals I've attended for grandpa this week With you With me Someone's got to help me dig Someone's got to help me dig Jesus Christ, girl It hasn't been long so it seems Since I was picking out an island and a tomb for you At the Hollywood Cemetery You kiss On me We should let this dead guy sleep We should let this dead guy sleep Jesus Christ, girl I laid up for hours in a daze Retracing the expanse of your American back With Adderall and weed in my veins You came I think 'Cause the marble made my cheeks look pink But I'm unsure of so many things Ooh Someone's got to help me dig Someone's got to help me dig Someone's got to help me dig Songwriters: Joshua Michael Tillman Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings lyrics © Kobalt Music Publishing Ltd.
