It’s unfair to make an analysis using the timeframe between the crash of Covid In 2020 and 2023. Most of the house prices now are similar to 2014 so the appreciation is totally relative

Seems 1 sided to me, this vid doesn't unearth the plethora of issues raised from buyers on various forums such as reditt....also there's a huge number of resales on the market with some of their projects, probably safer to stick with the bigger moe established developers.

Uae is definitely not the best choice to move to. In terms of taxes, yes, they are lower, but the rest of fees are a rip of, which they don't call "taxes". The crime rates are the same, but because of total censorship, no media is allowed to talk about that. There is no freedom, there is total control, and the cherry on top is the sharia law. They control what you post on your social media. If you make an inocent post about raining in Dubai and roads are full of water, they might sentence you, because it's illegal to post anything negative about uae. It's a racist country where your salary directly depends on your passport. Is you open a business, you are obligated to hire a quota of "locals", whom you are prohibited to fire. They know about that, therefore they behave the way they want: being lazy and treating you not like their boss, but like to a foreigner, whom they can report for any smallest thing, and the law will always be on local's side. So the video doesn't present the whole truth, but seems like uae propaganda.

I have clients in UAE and done business with them for over 25 years, I visited the UAE first time spent 12 days, full of wannabee take millionaires who can't make it in the UK, so they go there, all in their 30s, who fritter their money away, will wind up with fuck all and will come home when the are their 50s and 60s, it's too hot in the summer., unsustainable environmentally wise, be careful what you wish for, spoken by a high net worth individual

The reality is, for most "solopreneurs" this tax barely affects them. For example if you have an online business and generate 500,000 USD per year in net profit, you can still "reasonably" pay yourself about 250,000 USD per year as income, then you get another 100,000 USD exempt, so you're only paying 9% tax on remaining 150,000 which is 13,500$. If you calculate that as a percentage of your 500,000 net profit, it's less than a 3% annual tax rate. Considering there are so many other great reasons Dubai is great, this tax doesn't make much difference. People are just blowing it all way out of proportion. If Dubai made sense before the tax, it still almost certainly makes sense after the tax. For me I'll gladly pay 5% annual tax rate to get all the other benefits of Dubai.
