Hey uh I might've missed it in the video but do you have a link for this model or know where I could buy one? I've been looking for a model of the Martin JRM Mars for a while now but have been unsuccessful. It would mean alot to me as I'm named after the plane my grandfather flew during WW2... The Martin JRM Mars. Thank you for even taking the time to read this

I put my spring under the bracket 🤦♀️ just had to readjust it. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have known it was locked in under the bracket. I'm so pleased you make these videos Staphen. Thank you 😊

Patton’s family had asked Eisenhower for burial at Arlington but was turned down. The dislike between the two extended beyond the grave.

Hi Steve. Thank you for the tribute to Boyd. I literally just saw him. On April 24th I met him. I'd purchased his Ultimate Space Battleship Yamato to help support his treatments and went to his house to pick it up. He looked great. He was in good spirits and seemed to be physically recovering and getting stronger. And, I have to say, he was so nice and the coolest older nerd I've ever met. He spent the better part of 6 hours showing me his workspace and his model room while we just talked about everything science fiction and the modeling community. I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear he'd just passed away. I will treasure the time I spent with him, the model he made and how amazing his show was. He inspired me to start modeling again and his videos always had great tips on techniques and experiences shared. I will really miss him. RIP Boyd Crompton.

With Patton in charge, we wouldn't have the Cold War. People like Patton would've forced Stalin far away from Europe. My family would still have our business in East Europe and communists would've stayed in history books. That's why he couldn't live surrounded by mediocre politicians and opportunists. Eisenhower may have known this but couldn't do much about it.

In the end Patton got the wish he worked for so hard, he became an American folk hero and remains so to this day. In fact his legend seems more and more secure with each passing year.

I've just started working on the T1 today. I got up to part 7 for the day as I have arthritis in my hands, so it may take me some time. I'm going to try 2 boxes per day. So far, so good 👍

I wish you the best, please use oil on your metal parts and screws to help you along. I have a little bit of arthritis also in my dominant hand, must be from my aircraft mechanic days in the Air Force, and tinkering around on my own cars.

@ScaleModelKitReview Thank you for the lubricant advice 👍 If I get stuck along the way, can I ask you for help ? Year Arthritis is good, especially in the hands.

This is one person I’ve been inspired since I started my first 1/350 Refit and Boyd made it look so easy for me. I missed him already 😢. It’s so sad to hear a good man passing away with cancer. I’ve just had Stage-2 Kidney Cancer ♋️ and I can relate to his battles. Rest in peace now Boyd. Your sufferings are over and we thank you for sharing your talent. I missed you already 😢

I do hope you will build this correctly, meaning you get to magazine 20, then stop for a year like we original builds had to endure. Only joking, i hope you find it as enjoyable/frustrating like i did.

Eisenhower and Truman should have given Gen. Patton the Respect and the Honours that were his Due. Maybe things would have turned out differently.

So the bad guys in this movie are all bald white guys. I guess I can pretend to be offended. They were all gingers in the '80s movie, so more of the same I guess. These kits are really cool.

Do i need modeling glue?
@ScaleModelKitReview5 күн бұрын
I would definitely use extra thin cement on all the non moving parts, the clear parts look to snap in place without any glue, I just reviewed the Harkonnen version and it’s more detailed with more parts.

Aww, you're a big sweetheart, Steve. I knew you were choking up when you first said his name-- I'm still adjusting to the idea he's no longer with us. But-- that doesn't mean we can't celebrate him -- and his name -- in the best way which is to have a Crompton Halloween Model Shop thingie. The one thing Boyd mentioned was just how expensive things could be-- so I suggest a virtual Model Shop-- at least for a while. Post Pandemic Zoom stuff is all around. In the meantime, a Halloween subject, eh... ? Well, I dislike building to a deadline but sometime you just gotta-- !

I am grief stricken to learn of the passing of Boyd Crompton. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I traveled to his home to pick up a Polar Lights 1/350 model of the TOS Enterprise I had him build for me. He was gracious and friendly and I will never forget him. Does anyone know what type of cancer he had? I kind of remember it was colon cancer but I am not sure. Was hoping someone here knows. RIP Boyd.
