Great vid, great riding, great venue and looks like a pretty good bike. I realise it’s not intended as a park bike and shouldn’t be bought for that - it’s poppy, reasonably light, trad geo and flickable it seems. Having explained that, would you take it to Dyfi and, if so, which tracks?
@HopkinsBros29 күн бұрын
Thanks! We’ve actually not been to Dyfi yet, but can’t see an issue hitting big jumps and features on this as long as you are landing smooth. However, it probably won’t be as durable as a proper enduro or downhill bike!
@HopkinsBros29 күн бұрын
Just to add, we’ve hit some pretty big stuff on 130mm travel bikes and hard tails, a lot of people are over-biked nowadays and it’s surprising what can be done on bikes like these!

This was the size large demo bike we had available to test. Would have been nice to test the PL Carbon Pro, however, likely more riders will be buying the PL Carbon we tried out.
@leereiyuu16 күн бұрын
@@HopkinsBros Indeed. There are so many tests of the Pro out there. But most of the people seem to aim for the PC Carbon, so it kinda makes more sense to test that one too, rather only focusing on the Pro.

I think I've ridden with one of you before with Anton and Chris on a WNR? Barry Siding is a pretty extreme place to test it. I think if you can get down the trails there then it would be a great bike for around by me - Steetly, C. Coch, and TyC etc Would love to see it in the flesh if possible. I'm in Taffs Well.
@HopkinsBrosАй бұрын
@@jbonexc1725 Yes sounds about right! We have been on the WNR a few times. Should be fine for the local stuff yeah! Plenty in stock at Don Skenes, we borrowed their test bike

Great riding, wish I had the balls and skills to send that jump at the start. Been practicing jumps at MV bike park trying to pump, lean back, stand up and not case lol
@HopkinsBros8 ай бұрын
That's the way! MV is a good place to learn. It's rare you'll get a whole line perfect, so don't stress if you land a couple of jumps weird. Just try and stay relaxed and it'll come with practice. Weirdly you don't have to pull or lean as much on the big stuff as the lips are so tall. It's usually the smaller jumps that require a pop!

Are these easy to find mate? I was planning on going on my own this week so any tips to find the big features would be sick. Keep building and riding bros 👊👍🤙
@HopkinsBros8 ай бұрын
Pretty easy to find if you know the general location. There are often a few riders about who you can ask for the jump line location. There were a few trail builders, but Leon Margerison, Rex Aitken, Chris Smith are three of the main builders. I’m sure they won’t mind if you hit them up on Instagram and ask. :)

This is a great video, appreciate including all the attempts of Full Moto. We are going from ireland in may and hoping to hit full moto, would be great to get those conditions. looks like that second jump after the double is a bit bucky. any tips for the line in general? Just pull up like fuck?! lol big up on the video, its sick!
@HopkinsBros11 ай бұрын
Hit it as fast as you can, when you’re running in to it from the berm, you have to be fully brakeless. You are going so fast, you should just need to stay neutral on the bike. Do not pull up hard 😂. You will die. First time I hit it, pulled on the tunnel jump and completely overshot the landing. The fourth jump is quite kicky now so just stay relaxed on it, just don’t lean forward or back too much, and don’t brake in the air, you will dive

Awesome riding guys, what set up do you have on your helmet POV? Would love to know please?

We used a GoPro Max 360 camera, fixed to helmet with GoPro sticky mount. Settings are super view FOV, with max stabilisation which locks the horizon.

IMO it's good to mix it up with POV, 3rd person is better though for watching technique so is good for instructional purposes. Glad you walked away from that, you were flying down there and that compression looked nasty.

@HopkinsBros Жыл бұрын
No it’s not, as you arrive at Cwmcarn Forest Drive (by the bottom car park), you turn left before the hill to the visitor’s centre. There is a steep road on the right that turns into a fire break. Follow the firebreak up and turn left at the split, it runs off that firebreak
