I remember reading this story on r/NoSleep when it was new. It wasn't the best written creepypasta-style story I'd ever read, or the most grotesque or disturbing, but it always stuck with me for some reason. Not because I was overly freaked out by it or anything... to be honest, I still don't know why it has lingered in my mind for so long.
