Imagine being a kid watching some of these lost shows and having that show be your favorite show during your childhood, tuning in to watch it every day and loving the characters in it. But, soon, that show begins to fade away as time passes and it disappears, with all that is left of it is a few scattered clips and tidbits and your memories of it. Fleeting, short memories. Doomed to someday enter into the abyss of nothingness. Soon enough, there will be no memory of the parts of these and movies shows that are completely lost and our connection with them will be lost as well unless they are found for a newer generation to look at a relic of a bygone era. Think of your favorite show or movie and you begin to slowly stop watching it and you don’t think about it for years until you suddenly remember and want to relive your memories only to find out that show or movie you always loved… has been lost. Although this is unlikely now thanks to the internet, the growth of digital media can make preservation of media much harder. A show exclusive to a streaming service can be cancelled and eventually ripped off the service altogether and all its clips on the internet are removed due to “copyright.” Lost forever to the abyss of the forgotten.

The Phillip Schofield Noddy Footage was the first piece of Lost Media I found when I joined the community in 2017 - I was sitting in class on a shitty Chromebook just digging through KZbin results and there it was - I followed through with the 8mm reels a year later, they were sent to and preserved by LMW User "Tom_Servo" (who btw is still a great and active member in the community). I've found a lot more Lost Media since then, but Noddy will always be my favorite. It's great to see that people are still talking about Noddy all these years later. Hopefully, more things get found in the future.

Great work, GabLab! I love puppets; don't care if they're cute, weird, creepy or muppets, it's just a cool artform. They're like cartoons you perform live, WAY before VTubers were even a concept, and the amount of creativity thrown at puppet projects is staggering. Thanks for showcasing so many here; really getting me to start searching around for any more media surrounding some of these things, which I think is the case for all good Lost Media videos 😄

0:22 judging from the Tortoise mom face I think the story goes that the race was real but instead of Tortoise win is the Hare and the part where the Hare sleep are made up. I think the story will be the Tortoise kid grow up and encounter Hare somehow maybe his bully, rival, etc proves that Tortoise win that race

@GabLab1141 can you talk about the television series Feeling Good which is lost media? It was produced by the Children's Television Workshop (the CTW, now known as Sesame Workshop) and aired on PBS from 1974 to 1975, and was hosted by Dick Cavett. It was the first TV series produced by the CTW that was aimed at adults, instead of children. The show is considered lost, with none of the episodes being found, and only images and an ident on Vimeo exist

dang, if i were Cardozo i would've put the movie on the internet(i mean it's obvious they wouldn't give him proper licensing, its marvel we are talking about), from what i get it would even helped him be seem as a great filmmaker from all the praise the movie gets from the time, also really sucks we took so much time to care for preservation.

Do storyboards of deleted scenes count as lost media? Because if so, Tim Eldred might have more spidey lost media, this time for Ultimate Spider-Man (the cartoon). He mentioned on his website that he did some storyboards for s1e4 and a lot of them didn't make it into the final thing, and I asked him about it in a comment and he said he thinks he still has them and might post them

I still wonder Why didn’t they bring Bertha back for more seasons like they did with postman pat?
@katestephenson9868
@katestephenson9868 28 күн бұрын
Probably because postman pat was getting WAY more attention then Bertha and due to that I think they stopped making episodes because people just weren’t watching it that much so they stopped Bertha as a whole R.I.P Bertha 1985-1986

5:10 I never knew about Dick Cook until now. He was chairman of Walt Disney Studios for 7 years from 2002 to 2009, for which reason was he was basically fired by Bob Iger. Even though it says that Bob asked him to step down, so that clicked in my mind it means he was fired
