I have a cousin who never studied much, we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than her studies after writing the USMLE exam last month she passed and i failed😢, i asked her how she did it, just found out she got help from Mr Richard

A limitation, unless this has changed, is that Anki does not have OCR to search images nor does it work well with handwriting which is useful for forming mental models

On residency program I interviewed at, who shall remain anonymous had very much out in the open security cameras in the area of the residency office where the secretary sat. All of these cameras were recording you at all times. If, for any reason you were mean or rude to the secretaries or staff the program would send you out an automatic rejection letter. I was told by one of the residents that it was amazing how many people they could weed out simply because there were so many rude applicants.

Yeah this is pretty accurate for IM intern year. It’s not pleasant. I really think we need a solid 2 week vacation at least every 2 months. Otherwise it’s really tough to recover because the burnout keeps piling. People say sleep early but you have to fit the entire rest of your life into 1-2 hours at night, that’s not realistic.

Bro, following you since long time. Your every explanations are very helpful 🙏. I learned a lot on Anki from your videos . If possible in future please make a video on how you use mindmaps in your notes. Do you use any apps to do mindmaps ? Or do you use tablet and pencil for it ? Also, your suggetions / thoughts would be helpful on - Is doing mindmaps helpful to learn a project ? Thank you !

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I will try to do that! I don't usually use specific mind maps. I usually write my notes as a first pass and then transfer into a second pass through transferring everything to Anki.

I think the one liner from a rounds standpoint is even simpler. Its purpose is to help you yourself and your team orient to what’s going on. Patient is a __ year old with (relevant PMH) who PRESENTED WITH ___, was ADMITTED WITH ___, and REMAINS IN THE HOSPITAL TODAY FOR ____ It reminds you why they came Why they were admitted And what are they still doing here which is what your attending is gonna wanna know
