I don't know if I like his lowest notes or highest notes best. If I could buy a voice it would be his (minus the accent).

Not that Bolero...I mean the style bolero...cuban music...Beatles did it too...Besame mucho, Do you want to know a secret, And I love her..etc... This tune is a bolero to me...

I discovered this great song today, and I found that it has a lot of bolero influence. That's the latin american touch that you've heard, maybe... I want to try to cover this tune on that style...

Ah, Bolero. Maurice Ravel and I have the same birthday. Good luck with adapting the song.

He always writes more lyrics than he actually uses. But it's kept in for context. DsO are the ultimate musical trolls. They are trolling the listener, pushing the boundaries musically, philosophically and politically to the absolute limits and perhaps beyond...

I respect your opinion, ol timer. However I squarely disagree with your assesment of his lyrics. Jeff, as an artist, is a discontent worrier of the future. That is the biggest reoccuring theme within the lyrical content across almost all of his music. The following are my favorite verses from this song. "The garbage we've shaped into mountains Assistance with a twisted catch Do you still dream about tomorrow? Does it stare at you from the past? Does it just sit there like a flavour that didn't last?" ..... "And I don't wanna battle about The triggers that they placed or where we Land on the minutiae of the infinite tragedy I'll roll my eyes bc I don't give a flying fuck Whether I'm right or if I'm wrong The future is dumb" Jeff is on fire with these lyrics. You cannot deny his pen game. This is the type of creative writing I personally love. Especially when he delivers it with such a powerful genuineness. There are no writing clichés in sight. All these reasons are why Jeff Rosenstock has been my favorite artist for the last 5ish years. (And i swear to god it seems like he gets better with every album release.) Thank you

Your comment made me think of a song that resonates with me more than this song. It's "Goodness Gracious" by Kevin Gilbert. If you haven't heard it, check it out. It's an angry song about the cards his generation was dealt. I love that song. I think you love this song for the same reasons. So I get it.

It is heartbreaking not knowing what was next because he was on fire then he died, but at least people are talking about this album. The last 2 albums proved that there was more to him than the clash, two fantastic legacies I think he would be pleased

I love Zappa- some of it. Took me a long time to get inside his art, but Absolutely Free, Uncle Meat, One Size Fits All are incredible albums. Adrian Belew's Sykan impersonation on 'Flakes' is a real hoot.

Hi, I have been looking through your content since I found your video on Human Sadness by the voidz, and I think you give a lot of good comentary, but I have a question, I hope im not being rude by asking this. I am young, about to start college, and I was wondering, if you could go back and tell your 18 year old self something, what would it be? Again, sorry if thats rude to ask or im overstepping, I hope you have a good day

Harsh vocals don’t equal screamo lol, screamo is a sub genre of emo. this would be classified as sludge metal/noise rock. Great video, would definitely love to see more chat pile videos.

I love the ending of this song, however I get your point - for me it's a bit too catchy sometimes. I believe that older and crazier stuff that he made is more interesting to react to - like a song "Syke! Life is Awesome!" by Bomb the Music Industry (his older music project) or "I don't love you anymore" by the same band. Not sure if you'd like them but they will sure differentiate themselves from the other stuff out there. Anyways, cool reaction, cheers!
