I just changed mines and I’m getting a weird noise after pressing the brakes a second time before a full stop. Unsure what it is but will remove and inspect tomorrow.

@Nazarettos thanks for the video. Sorry if i missed it, but do the factory speaker frame/brackets you reused, did they have holes already in them or did you have to drill holes in them to mount the new speakers in the door? Thanks!!

From the UK here. Have been mulling for some time as with the new iOS update (18) the display unit seems to be lagging and getting stuck frequently with CarPlay. I will watch your second video before major the plunge.

Brake cleaner took the numbers off the front diff . . In my field the ecu stickers are so important and clients will over clean and wipe the numbers off

@@njsongwriter well in my case it was very hard to remove the rotor no matter what I tried. I continue banging very hard on it because it was seized good.

@nazarettos6987 I just replaced mine a few days ago on a 2009 RAV4. The front rotors have never been replaced before so they were on the vehicle for 16 years and yes they were siezed on, rusted on. I simply took the bolt off the exhaust manifold cover and screwed it into one of the two holes on the old rotors and slowly tightened it. A little lube on the threads would help and going back and forth as well (two turns ahead and one turn back) and both rotors came off without any banging. Watch "The Car Care Nut". Easy peasy.

You need to hold the parking brake button down longer (5sec) to fully disengage (there will be a dash message confirming). The green auto light means the piston is still active (it should also go off). Otherwise you risk ruining the car with the battery connection.

@@Cmunene thank you, everything worked out perfect on this vehicle, and on this vehicle you must use 12v battery wires to completely to retract piston.

Do you check the battery fluid level every year, and top off with distilled water? The Costco, Walmart or Toyota branded batteries are all made to the same standards by Interstate.

@ after you retract motor, you have to push piston back because new brakes are thick and when you try to put caliper back on it will not fit.

Nice job. so much of what you did was one handed while holding the camera with the other hand. It seems weird though that the harness end that connects to the traler is dangling under the rear door hatch. There must be a better way.

What am I supposed to do when the holes don't line up? If I line up the 10mm holes then both of the wheel well holes are short by 3/8". If I line up one of the wheel well holes and try to work my way across, none of the other 10mm holes or other wheel well hole lines up. It's not even close. The bumper isn't hung up on anything either, the holes just don't match.

Be aware that the front pad part number fits about 90% of 2019-present Rav4s. For the limited trim level which have a larger front rotor, it will take a different part number for the front pads.
