That's what I'm wondering. Doesn't look like it is (yet) which is really stupid when you realize editing pictures for iPhone wallpapers in higher resolutions would be a game changer. And you'd think for the price...

OK, Here is the story regarding this Action. There was an update to Generative Fill and they removed this Opacity feature from the Photoshop code. Unfortunately, there is no plan to turn this feature back on again. So, for this reason I turned off the link to the Action. If… they decide to fix this feature then I will create a new Action. So very sorry.

Thanks in advance for your amazing work it’s greatly appreciated from a huge fan of all of your hard work on KZbin making these videos to make us all better at photo composing

Leonard, Wow! I had forgotten about this video. It is really old and somewhat out of date. My job responsibilities have changed since this video was created and I don’t get the opportunity to make as may videos as I did in the past. I will mention that we need more updates to our iPad video to the learning team at Adobe.

I’m going to actually remove this video from KZbin in the next few weeks so it doesn’t cause confusion. Thanks for reaching out.

I am very sorry for my confusing video. My tutorial is super outdated and does not work with the current versions of Photoshop so please forgive me. I have not had the opportunity to fix many of the outdated issues with my tutorial and I have been getting too many complaints. For this reason I have removed my tutorial from my KZbin account. Please follow the following information from Fred Espenak for more reliable results. Fred Espenak - MrEclipse: “How to Photograph a Solar Eclipse”: www.mreclipse.com/SEphoto/SEphoto.html Again, I am sorry for my tutorial issue. Sincerely, Russell Preston Brown

I was so excited to try this, but my results are very disappointing. Especially the watercolor. Is there an optimal image size that this works with? My 2 photos were 3264x2448x180 and 2950x2448x72.

I had the honor and privilege to attend Jerry's class when I was working at the Sun Valley Center as Peter de Lory's assistant back in 1976, I believe. His wife also held a workshop which I found fascinating as she worked in cyanotype which developed in the sunlight.

This is exactly what I'm trying to achieve, but NOT on an iPad. I'm working on a Mac Book Pro using Lightroom 4.4 (the Cloud based eco-system desktop version) and Photoshop (v22.5.1). There is an 'Edit in Photoshop' option in LR, but so rarely do my changes (which usually consist of duplicating some layers and adjustment layers) show up back in LR once I Save and close from PS. Any suggestions on what's going wrong?
@therussellbrownshow3 жыл бұрын
Matt, There is definitely a roundtrip workflow from the desktop version of Lightroom and the desktop version of Photoshop. 1- Open Lightroom and right click on an image in the gallery view. 2 - Select to edit the image in Photoshop. 3 - Make your edits in Photoshop and then save the image. 4 - The image should be automatically saved back to Lightroom. 5 - Check in Lightroom and you will notice that the name of the image now has a number (2) appended to the name. 6 - This new version contains all the added layers. 7 - Beware! If you edit this new layered document in Lightroom then it will flatten the image and all your layers will be lost. There you have it. I hope this helps. Russell Brown
@Audiotechnical3 жыл бұрын
@@therussellbrownshow thanks. And yes, that is pretty much exactly what I was expecting it ‘should’ do, but for me, it quite simply doesn’t. Too frequently the image (with changes) does not replicate in any way back into Lightroom. But thanks for the info on how the layers flatten it further modifications are made once back in LR. I didn’t know that.
@Audiotechnical2 жыл бұрын
@@systemfehler No, I never did. And I've actually moved my entire workflow/usage back to Lightroom Classic. I basically moved over to LR for about 10 months, and was determined to stick it out, and just adapt to it's cons, and benefit to it's pros. One other main reason was so that I would not have to carry around my hard drives when my firm sent me to other offices. But now travelling is limited, and I work mostly at home that is no longer an issue! It's a right pain in the rear though to move your catalogue between LR and LrC (or the other way round). Everything has ended up a bit of a mess. Duplicates or missing files in LrC catalogue. Additionally, Adobe really screwed me over, when they decided to force all customers to choose either a 'Personal' profile or a 'Business' profile. The type of licence I use (being a staff member of a company) I had to move EVERYTHING in my Adobe World over to another profile. Utter pain.
