At round abouts give way to traffic coming from the right

"I got an automatic so I wouldn't be distracted." But it's totally fine to be shooting a video on my FIRST experience driving in the UK. Thanks so much for caring about public safety.

2:57 - It's a combination of the rain and the crumpled landscape... 7:11 - There are also dinosaur footprints at Staffin Beach a little farther North from Brothers' Point. 21:51 - Sometimes when there's a strong on-shore wind the waterfall never makes it to the beach...

The fresher the better! Best bought in a local butcher shop (they usually have rolls to prepare Mettbrötchen fresh right on demand). I would not recomnend buying Mett or Mettbrötchen and eat it in the evening unless refrigerated. And yes, on the same day even if refrigerated. Usually buy it and eat it. Onions are a must, salt and pepper as well (I use more pepper than salt).

Welcome to Amsterdam and the Netherlands. It is pretty normal to say what it is you want exactly. If you do not like onions tell them "without onions" This is advicable for "Patat Speciaal" (Mayo, Curry or Ketchup, Onions) and "Patat Oorlog" (Mayo, Sate, usually onions is at request). We like you to enjoy the food, when it comes to fries toppings (and never call them French Fries please_ there are no wrong options. KroketL The number one Kroket (Plural "Kroketten") would be the beef, I would say veal and Shrimp are tied for second. There s the Sate Kroket, the Potato Kroket (at home only), Cheese, Goulash and Vegetable Kroketten. Usually eaten with a bit of mustard. Note that the Bitterballen (Singular "Bitterbal") are the same thing just as a small bal instead of the tubular shape. The oldest known written down Dutch Appeltaart Recipe comes from 1514. Dutch Apple Pie typically comes with a latice of dough on top. Filling usually is a mixture of Elstar Apples, Raisins and Sultanas and spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, kardemon, ginger and piment (1 milion mamas, 1 milion ways, obviously. but Cinnemon is always present). Some people might do a little layer of "Spijs" (an almond/sugar paste) on the bottom. Mint "tea": the point of "tea" is that ot contains.. you jnow... tea.THAT is Mint water, and frankly as someone that has spent time working in hospitality... I am offended that they dare sell that as tea. Of course it is fresh tasting, it is mint. Don't buy mint tea from the Dutch, you want to drink Mint Tea when you go to Morroco (Nana Tea). Whats next, soaking a laurel leave in hot water and call it Laurel tea? Regardless if it was "lekker" (tasty... in this case), you got scammed. If you want a nice mint tea do the following. Buy so called "gunpowder" which is black tea. Make tea according to the directions on the package. Now take a tall glass and put a bunch of mintleaves in there. Poor tea on top (needs to be scolding hot_ and leave to soak for a few minutes. Add sugar (or honey) to taste, you want it to be sweet). That is basically Morrocon Nana Tea and it is oh so good. Pancakes/Poffertjes: Well... it seems they made somewhat good with those poffertjes The Dutch version of the pancake resembles indeed a crepe, however it should be somewhat thicker not thinner. There is no right or wrong when it comes to toppings/ extras. It is all personal taste. The poffertjes are served the "traditional" way and I think that unlike with pancakes there are wrong ways. Still... that tea.... aargh... Stroopwafel: The toppings.... to many (maybe even most) Dutch, they are an abomination. Only for tourists. You want to go to the supermarket, buy a cheap a55 package of 10 stroopwafels. Brew a mug of Coffee (or tea). Put the wafel on the steaming mug for a few minutes and enjoy. The Wafel: It is not two wafels with "stroop", it is one wafel, split in two and filled with Stroop then put together again. Febo: Stands for Ferdinand Bol. This was the name of the street the first Febo would have opened it's door. However the founder was unable to do so and had to relocate last minute. Plater he was able to open a franchise there after all which is there till this day.) The name however was already registered and so a phenomenon was born. They can be found all over the country and are the "after pub" kocation for many. Bami: Use the A you use for Mama. Bah-mi. What you have is a "Bami schijf" or a Bami Disc, a spin on the dish Bami. Bami is a noodle dish from Indonesia and became popular due to certain...uh... events in our history and the resulting immigration of many Indonesians and repatriating Dutch from there bringing their food with them. There is also a rice version called Nasi schijf. Same thing with the a. Cheese Souggle: "They have this in Germany" .... O_O TheyStolez It From Uszzzz..... Nasty Hobbitzesszz Love how your son was eager to try everything. I hope you enjoyed, maybe come back and visit Utrecht, Maastricht, Groningen... so many beautiful cities.

When driving on the smaller roads DON'T run along the edge of the road as you might shred your tyres as there are very sharp edges and large pot holes.

GERMAN CANDIES: In fact this term is just relative because half of the brands are licensed products from all over Europe. And some of " THE GENMAN CANDY COMPANIES " nowadays are owned by American Companies like Nabisco ( Mondelèz International )

Late comment, but I do remember seeing the coffins of Frederik the Great and his father in the chapel of the castle where they were brought to after WW II. (During the war, they had been taken from Potsdam near Berlin to various safe places - bunkers, churches etc.). The remains of both kings were taken back to Potsdam in 1991, after the German reunification, where they found the last and hopefully now permanent rest.

Roundabouts are not 'crazy.' They are an efficient system for traffic flow and safety. US traffic-light crossroads are massively inferior, on every level.

Myself and lots of others have went and drove in Europe on the right and no one speaks of it, but Americans drive on the left and they never shut up about it, jesus it's not that different just a different side. Mountain out of a molehill comes to mind.

You're getting a bit over-excited. Continental Europe drive on the right. Island nations - UK, Ireland, Cyprus, Malta - drive on the left. People adapt.

It is incredibly easy, the steering wheel is in the middle of the road. There are both speeds on speedometers, MPH on the outer and KMH on the inner. I drove across Canada, and it took me about 15 minutes to get used to it, of course I also had to learn the different Provinces driving regs as I went, at least you had the same driving regs throughout the whole country

I know the feeling driving on the opposite side of the road, it can be pretty stressful, I have rode in Spain, France and the USA. What you need to be careful about is if you pull in for gas and the road has no traffic on it, it's so easy to turn out onto the wrong side of the road. Happy Days from England.

When cars coming at you it's easier as they will be on the correct side. It's harder sometimes on quiet roads as you can go on the wrong side. I try to remember driver sits in the middle of the road.
