The cartilage of that out of his left and then after he had it most of it was red and looking like heavy and super impressive, kinda felt as if the deer was very well put and all sorts as well.

Beauty buck. Just wondering what type of crop was in the field you were hunting?
@92outdoors_ Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! This particular field was hay. We saw them all week in chopped corn, and other crops, but saw the most and best deer near the edges of this hay field. The bucks seemed to be on Doe scents and would come right out across the open field, sometimes in shooting distance, sometimes not. Totally preoccupied with the scent trails, nothing else. Driven.

our logging practices are so gross. just clear-cutting everything. and then, as if that's not bad enough, they then destroy the clearing so it's not even walkable. that little lake you sat by, i know a few of those up bear creek, where they then clear-cut right up to the lakes, just like that. they leave a pencil-thin ring of trees around the lake, so it looks like they left something. but now there's no protection from the winds, and those trees will be blown over before long. and that then takes away the shade that the lake had, which in turn raises the water temperatures, which in turn can kill the fish off.
@92outdoors_2 жыл бұрын
Good point. Yeah, it's not fun to see all the logging, and it certainly is a big pain to walk through. However, the leftovers will rot and provide nutrients to the soil to re-grow. Apparently when re-plants are done, they're mostly including only coniferous trees to be logged again, which isn't helpful for forest fires- I've been told deciduous trees like Aspens, Birch, etc can act as natural fire-breaks which we could really use in BC.
@zzz7zzz92 жыл бұрын
@@92outdoors_ all true. Their practices just aren't sustainable, which they are now finding out, with mills closing at record numbers. I have one cut, in one of my areas, where they did it selectively, leaving many trees scattered throughout. It's beautiful, and the game walks through it like it's a natural forest. But, it's the only one in that area even, where they did it like that. Others nearby are just big dead-zones. Another thing i've noticed, is many replanted areas, they've never gone back and then spaced them. And they are little pecker poles so tight together you can't even walk through it. Those aren't even going to grow to any potential.
@92outdoors_2 жыл бұрын
@@zzz7zzz9 that's a great point. In and around the Coquihalla, east and west, my buddy Spencer from @truetineoutdoors and I have noticed incredibly tight replanted areas. I lost a quiver off my bow, one year- all the branches just grab everything on you, it's absolutely dreadful. Makes everything else seem like a dream
